Ok, so I patched the game and now every time I click play I can hear the nVidia etc... video but see nothing, just a black screen with the mouse cursor visible. Cannot click on anything, cannot see the mechbay. Anyone know how to sort this out, am fully patched and using up to date drivers!

I had the same problem on my completely new rig, I did a search an the forums and found out it probably had to do with some version of the microsoft visual c++ redistributeable. I did quite a lot of installing and uninstalling of current and older versions, which at first didn't help, but after installing all the redistributables going a few years back (2005 seems to be the oldest one on my system now) and then reinstalling MWO, everything worked and has worked since without issues.
