I drive a lot of scouts, and even when I don't, I still pick targets with LRM in mind if I know it's in our back deck. Very satisfying to watch someone who thinks they've lined you up for a shot, suddenly realize they've been maneuvered to take a few salvos of missiles in the RCT. Somebody needs to bring the rain so we can call it down on the people trying to kill us. I'm playing robot wars, there is no such thing as a boat to me; there's only long range missile artillery support.

No better feeling in the world... well maybe stepping on jenners that try to leg hump big mechs only to find out Atlas arms can point downwards.
LRMs are fine, Jenners are fine. Nothing outrageously OP anymore. Most people complaining about weapon systems is a strawman for a poorly coordinated team.

I mostly pug so I othen watch multiple teamates wander aimlessly into LRM death while I skirt around behind them and unleash my mahem.
Ive had up to 14 mechs at one time and none of them ever have lrms on them, i like to get close and personal with my attacks, its my opinion LRMs are for the less skilled pilots who are still figureing things out. it seem a bit cowardly to attack from long range to me. but hey thats my opinion.

I fully enjoy and agree with how the gameplay mechanics are for missles in this game. It requires a lock and hold like a flight sim. It requires LoS of the mech in the field, and it requires you to get a feel of how the flight path is to deliver the most damage per salvo.

So yes, I enjoy the LRM boat. It will always have a place in my stable of mechs, as well as in the meta game.
It will also be the source of continous cries of OP, lame and not fair.
To those who complain of LRMS I only have one thing to say. Please stop standing on top of the hill with four mechs shooting you. LRMs are incoming.

Strange I'm also a LRM boat (awesome), I enjoy it usually but I find myself pretty much OP and so fully understand the crying.
Damage per rocket should be half of SRM rocket. SRM in moment at 2.5 so LRM should be at 1.25 and NOT on 2!

When you PUG, it seems these two things happen...1). you can't get lock for more than 2 secs at a time for almost the entire match, or 2) The team plays better and you can rain death on half their team often resulting in multiple kills.
Most times I run SRMs instead. It is less of a team player load out, but again with how tricky LRMs are PUGing, I want the additional Mech on Mech firepower. If I was in a group, I would run more LRM load outs.

(Please don't pug though. Instead stay nice and safely protected in a premade. Or you're liability that noone agreed before match to deal with. In fact I'd like to kill you myself if you bring an LRM assault to a pug

You will not always be your enemy's equal but that shouldn't stop you from being able to kill him. You just might not do it head on. They all have backs and blind spots.
