Its a shame that the game is on Cry engine, and not on Unreal engine ^^

next there will be a battletech blood bowl league where we all pilot axemen and procede to butcher the other team rather than run in touch downs, actually that might work throw in some commandos, mercury chargers we could have some fun but like the golden gauss its not something that should be given thought to when the game isn't out yet all the ideas like these should be for when the game stagnates and gets boring after a decade or 5, if thats possible

The golden gun idea is very intresting, but the reflection will be a perfect target spot to any enemy mech.

Golden SRM might be more fun than machine gun. No tracking though on it.

Also a battletech sized NFL will come into being. Everyone will pilot Atlas' for football games except small lasers and other small weaponry will still be allowed. The footall will be the head of another mech (maybe a commando head still undecided) and ripping off other mech's limbs is allowed.
