I'm still working on the texturing and environment, but I think its worth a look at. Keep in mind that I am not a professional 3d artist, nor have I recieved any official instruction on 3d art so don't be too rough :D.

It may be a little dark, if you can't see it you might need to turn up the brightness on your monitor. 106k polys.

It looks fantastic. Could you post a few other views with brighter lighting?

Thanks guys, I'll get a couple of other renders and turn up the GI a bit when I get home from work this evening. This weekend I'm going to be working on an outdoor shot, I'll post that when its done.

The legs seem disproportionatly large in relation to the body/cockpit (i'd shrink them down by about 10-20%) but excelent work overall.

I particularly Like how you handled the shoulder joints in relation to the flare at the base of the cockpit. That was always an akward area of the orginal design.

Way too cool.

What program did you do it with?

Here is a close up with a little more ambient light. There is some noise on the reflections though, but thats nothing higher render settings won't fix (its getting late and I got work in the morning). As for the legs being too big, that is a concern of mine as well, especially when I start animating it. We will see how it goes in the coming months.

This was modeled in 3ds max and rendered with Mental Ray. Texturing was done in Gimp.
