Title says it all. Wondering if I am the only one or if others have decent builds but are struggling or feeling like their frame rates are not what they should be.

My PC is as follows

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @ 3.2GHZ

8 GB of RAM

HIS Radeon 6970 2GB

Dual ASUS Monitors @ 1920x1080

Windows 7

12.10 Drivers

No matter what I do my FPS is all over the place. Changes to settings in the launcher, and that means advanced as well. Low to Very High. Everything in between

Right now I am using a mixture of High and Low settings and get anywhere from 20 - 60 FPS

Like I said its all over the place.

My guess is it could be the missing implementation of DX11.

Post back if you are having the same issues. Am curious if Nvidia users are experiencing the same issues as AMD/ATI

I've had this issue with a 7770 and my current 7850 with a gpu load of only 50%. I'm going with the game hasn't been optimized for anything. However it is now stable for overclock, but you will still notice fps drops all over the place. I'm running the 12.10 drivers and max settings minus post processing.

You do realise that by running dual monitors, your actually running a 2160p resolution. A single 6970 is not enough for that and high settings in MWO. My 7970 would have problems with that. Try playing with just one monitor and see what happens.

You do realize that I do not run the game in both screens? Sorry but I run the game in one screen at 1920x1080 and I have TS3 MSI Afterburner up in the second.

I have also disabled the 2nd monitor during game play with no improvement.

So no..I am not running 2560x1600 or any eyefinity setup. MWO runs on only one monitor. I would also like to say that with Afterburner I noticed only 50-60% GPU usage and my CPU usage is only around 20-35%.

you shouldn't have mentioned the dual monitors if your not running them like that. has nothing to do with the problem, but is misleading as it mislead me.

Try overclocking your cpu, since the fps are pretty much the same whatever graphics settings would suggest it is bottlenecked somewhere and your cpu is a good place to start looking. Have a look at your gpu usage when you are spectating, mine seems to go up which makes me think there is a massive inefficiency somewhere in the input code

i've run this game with your GPU and didn't have any problems, nor do I have any on my new Nvidia.

therefore, i would recommend just some simple monitoring/maintenance. make sure your cpu/gpu temps aren't getting too high. next i'd run simple things like defrag on a hdd, ccleaner (or some other trusted reg cleaner), etc. make sure that high cpu processes aren't running. after that i'd futz around with the resolution and see if you're still having the same issues at a lower res. also, maybe check out windowed/full window/full screen modes.

now, if none of this points you in a direction towards fixing it, or flat out fixes it, i'd take all that info, along with a dxdiag, and shoot a support ticket to PGI. They should be able to tell you how to begin fixing it, or why it's currently unfixable.

good luck Grim!

edit: oh yeah, look into underclocking your GPU. this often fixes this type of problem.

I would also like to say that with Afterburner I noticed only 50-60% GPU usage and my CPU usage is only around 20-35%.The game is not even using all the resources it has available. I doubt I have a bottle neck on my processor, I5 equivalent for Intel. GPU is at factory settings, I have not OCed but HIS claims they do that at factory.

Eso: Temps are fine. GPU never gets above 65*c and CPU is cool as well. Recently did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional.
