... in the 'Ready room', mechbay etc really has to go. I'm starting to hear it in my head even when I'm away from the computer =D

Now you get to hear that noise all the time! Well it is actually the Enterprise, but close enough.

Why is your mech running when the mechanics are working on it?

The mech should be shut down in a mechbay, right? What I'd expect to hear ther is men working, electric tools buzzing, hammers hitting metal to flatten out dents in the armor =)

I personally find the Centurion's engine thrum almost hypnotic, but then again I'm way past the point of "too much Battletech for my own good" now.

Just wait until you start designing `Mechs in your sleep, that's how you know you've been well and truly hooked.

I think it's a little annoying since you can hear the very obvious looping of the sound clip. I'd rather they made it a little quieter, evened it out, and added some other sounds like background voices, the whirring of drills, beeping of heavy machinery backing up, footsteps, etcetera.

No, actually, what I REALLY want is a mechlab that I can walk around in and admire in first person while I watch my techs fixing my battle-worn mechs.
