No! AMS should stay the way it is now. Every missle, that will not hit your team, is a good missle. There is no I in team (I always wanted to write that).

Firstly that it has priority to shoot missiles heading towards you, and then, when you can not be hit it will protect your teammates. Other implementation rather than this is silly as it sounds. You install defensive device to protect yourself in the first place, and it wishes to protect someone else rather than you.
Second was right - it should hit missiles when it sees them.
And third - shooting flying around missiles, which can not harm anyone on your team (for example, those once, which was locked on you, yet missed and flew behind), is nothing else but waste of ammo. Especially when there are missiles coming to hit you at the same time.
Yet, I suppose, it's hard to implement it this way. Or, maybe, shouldn't implemented this way, since it will greatly improve it's effectiveness.

I definitely agree with that! It's just annoying hearing your AMS shooting every missile to hell but you already know none of the missiles is gonna hit someone. A simple button on your keyboard to turn AMS off would be appreciated.

3 Selectable Modes
Button 'C' or whatever.
1. Fire at all missiles
2. Fire at only incoming missiles targeted on you
3. Turn OFF.
