Hi everyone!
I think a colored bar (green/yellow/red) indicating your mech's heat while reactivly moving between the colors would be great while the mech is shut down!
I often run some miles away from the combat to hide behind an obstacle and shut down my reactor to get rid of the heat, but when i shut down my reactor, i have no indication how long i should keep the reactor shut down. (Ok, you can here this swwishhhh "noise", but you always hear it when shut down, no matter what level your heat is 87% or 26%...
And reactivating the reactor and shutting it down again 5 times just to know when the time is right simply does not fit in "future warfare", don't u think?
Best wishes!

Sounds good to me, even if its just something on a display in your cockpit that you need to freelook to see

would be a nice feature and its also logical to have such a heatbar in your mech

Agreed, put those mech cockpit graphics to work. After all, a 20th century Buick has an engine temp gauge, I'd think it would be practical in the 31st century.

As an addition, I would like to see engine damage for heat above 115%, regardless of whether Override is engaged or not. Seeing 'mechs with 6 ERPPCs fire at 99% and suffer no ill effects for excess heat is getting silly.
