PUG vs PREMADE isn't going to last much longer, the devs don't want that to happen either.

The problem is that CODING IS HARD!!

It's coming, they have clearly stated they are working on it and that the Metagame layers will change this significantly.

The 4+4 vs 4+4 is a good PHASE 1 step, it spreads the experience around and gets people talking. The majority don't care about this, they just want a good gaming experience.

Regardless of how much money you pay, you will die in a few seconds of standing in the wrong place. Trust me, I do it a lot.

Yeah... Me too! I am still trying to figure out how an Atlas can walk like a Ninja in the shadows to show up behind me! I wanna learn from the Master to do this as well! :D It's frustrating... but cool! :P

Sigh. 4 man premades in phase 1 soon. That isn't the problem. The problem is the game is limited to 8v8. That just isn't enough kills to steal. One can never get past 8 kills per game that way.

Also waiting on new game modes. Maybe even arena based combat (FFA). I know we are getting 12v12 soon and hopefully we are getting real base capture mode with static defences and everything

I think 1v1 solaris arena matches would be cool.

Making a good matchmaker that evenly balances both teams is hard.

Segregating pugs from pre-mades is easy. The phase 1 they've described is ridiculously easy to implement. Its coming soon. That is good. But it is something that should have been implemented before going open.

The beta tag for the game is irrelevent. It is open to the public now. They are accepting people's money. As far as players/reviewers/investors are concerend, the game is in a released state. The moment people start paying for this game, you can no longer use the "beta" excuse. Mess up now and this game will make a horrible first impression on players/reviewers and will have a poor start. Niche games like mechwarrior traditionally cannont survive poor starts.

You can almost never ever say that without actually knowing how they have everything working at the moment. For all you know it's something as simple as adjusting a variable or it's something as hard as rewriting the entire system.

jeebus jumping jimminy cricket .... you know how artificial this pug v premade construct is? Completely.

I went from playing in solely pug teams to mostly premade teams in the awesome space of approximately 5 minutes. Am I special? Well of coursely. But YOU ARE SPECIAL TOO. You know that c3 voip thing in settings? Guess what - there's an entirely free product that lets you talk to other lamers who also have too much time to spend playing robot shooty shoot whine whine wars ... just like you do.

And guess what - I'm pretty much money back guaranteeing you can find some likeminded souls who won't require you to voice the turgid pledge of Stiener allegiance, or indulge in the Kurita commando spanking hazing ceremony, or dedicate your firstborn to some other house name of a game lore I'm pretty hazy on. In fact - I guarantee that within 20 minutes of deciding to do so, you could have 8 or so people on c3, talking to each other, or at the very least, listening to the couple of people with the awesome technology of fricking microphones, and not pulling on the suckpipe of random brownian motion game strategy quite so hard. Replace c3 with teamspeak and one of the many available servers and the point still obtains.

Talking to other gamers is not scary, not hard, and not high commitment. If anything, it's too easy. If you specifically choose not to find the extra few minutes (and the minutes of awesome waiting between games while your friends endlessly play dress ups with their robot barbie dolls to squeeze some extra dps out of them and get the Nvidia fairy bobblehead), then I don't really see the point in wasting your valuable tappy finger time in boring people's eyeballs on the fricking forum.
