Exactly, in real time 10 seconds would feel like an eternity.

I really don't think it would be that bad. Especially when you consider most BattleMechs have several weapons to fire, unless you're an Alpha-Tard, you shouldn't run into an issue cycling your weapons.

I play WoT and there's a gun in there for the KV that has a 20-30 second reload time. And in WoT you only have *one* (useable) weapon. *That* gets irritating. I'm reasonably confident that having several guns on a 10 second re-fire time wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Granted, I would have to play it before I could say definitively, which is a qualification you should also remember in your own presumptions.

Um question, for the people who want the autocannon to fire as fast as the trigger pulls how does the later generation of the RAC/5 and Ultra Autocannon fire? Oh wait, apparently the Rotary autocannon will fire forever and the Ultra Autocannon will just fire as long as the trigger is pulled. Ehhhhh!!! Wrong! Best solution is to go back to believe it or not, MW4.
LBX: Buckshot: Bang.....Wait to reload
Regular Ac: One shell that does explosive damage...Wait for the new reload
RAC: Constant stream of shells with intermittant jamming
Ultra: Shoots off a couple of shells. That apparently have the strength of God....
