So being new to the FWL, can someone give me a list of all the popular FWL mech designs or more specifically the mechs that are in use per this particular time in MechWarrior history (3049) for the League.

I don't have access to my books right now, but I am pretty sure that they have access to the Awesome and the Orion.

Minus the Raven and the Dragon you can find at least one example of every existing mech in the FWLM.

The most widly used would be the ones that are produced in the FWL, like the Hermes II, Awesome, Orion, Trebuchet or Centurion.

Of course, you don't have to drive a Hunchback or an Awesome. All of the standard-tech mechs at launch will be available to all players. You'll just have to pay extra for non-faction designs.

In Battletech, my Kuritan battalion includes a Zeus & a Centurion. Salvage, innit?

I can't remember, but I do know that Marik use the Albatross but not sure what time era that entered in. After 3055 the Gunslinger is a nuts design that is running around...

The Hammer and Anvil are another two as well I think....

All post-Clan War designs sadly (as are the Grand Titan and the Tempest).

The Albatross is nearly exclusivly reserved for the Knights of the Inner Sphere.

Only true of the 1st few production lines of the ALB-3U Here's the fluff:

"When it was first produced, the Albatross was deployed exclusively to the newly formed Knights of the Inner Sphere. Though it would soon be deployed throughout the top units of the FWLM, it remained a signature mech among the Knights."

So most every top FWLM 'Mech Regiments will have an Albatross or 2 in an Assault/Command Company, but only the KotIS will have entire lances of them. TBH I don't really like the Albatross I'd prefer a Grand Titan (100 tons) for a signature Marik Assault 'mech circa 3055.

I'd love to see a Wraith TR-1 or TR-2 on the field, very fast and very accurate 55ton Medium for punching through the back-armour, or flanking the battle-lines.

Let's ignore the mechs you won't see at launch. We still have an estimated 4 mechs to be announced. There's a strong possibility that the 3rd heavy will be the Grasshopper (all factions laser-boat). I'd like the 3rd assault to be a Stalker, & I believe it's in MW-T. There's another Marik design for you. :D

You need to have the Orion maybe the Quickdraw and the Hermes II those are all of the Mech designs that i can think of off the top of my head for the FWL that should be included in the game.
