Not sure if it's just me, but does the stock outfit of this mech produce an excessive amount of heat?
I generally run chain fire with the 2 mediums, but I find on just about every map I'm getting up to about 90% heat build-up fairly quickly vs other mechs I've piloted in the past. With the upgrades on my mech, ferro-fibrous armor, I'm reluctant to get anymore upgrades due to the fact that I'm playing pugs vs an increasing amount of premades and my team is constantly being wasted so even with the 30% extra c-bills you get from the Hero bonus I'm breaking just above even on a loss every map.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

dump ferro, get endo.it's just better in every way.
The AC/20 is a ridiculously hot weapon.combine that with 2 medlas and there's no way in hell 10 stock heatsinks are gonna keep you cool.
replace the ac/20 with a gauss, and either use the extra weight from endo to either get a healthy amount of ammo for your gauss or some more heatsinks.maybe replace the medlas with small lasers as backup weapons.sit back and snipe with the gauss until empty, then go poke people with the lasers.
I'd really like to say the AC/20 is worth using, but simply put,the gauss outclasses it in every way except the max damage.no heat to worry about, better ammo per ton, much longer effective range, ammo doesn't explode....and so on.
wish i could offer some advice on the premade thing, but until PGI gets phase 3 matchmaker up and running, which should segregate pugs from premades,it's either join a premade and stomp the pugs....or go ahead and bend on over that barrel there cause you're gonna be taking it hard for a while.

Like every other mech, he's undersunk. Replace the AC20 with a gauss and some more heatsinks.

I played closed beta with a centurion with 1xGauss and 2xMLas, so I was delighted with the YLW that I could do that again with a 30% bonus to boot.
Yeah, the AC20 is fun for the first few shots, but then you overheat and it goes downhill from there.

Specifically because every time you get scratched you will be paying more compared to standard armor. While with an endo steel chassis you only fork over when you take internal damage. You have the same amount of maximum armor points with FF and standard armor so endo is usually a better choice.
