As a forum goer, this sounds pretentious and over the top...most of them I agree with but they way this is posted just makes you sound like a 12 year old begging his parents for a new toy.

edit- As a player i want all mechs to have a designed overall roles, commander, scout, attacker, defended.

Answer...no...they will use canon models as they have said.

All of your 'I's are not capitalized.

This bothers me.

As a player I want functional radar / information system: location, damage read-out, maybe even heat and ammo.
As a player i want users to control their radar system: passive radar, active radar etc.
As a player I want combat situations to influence most appropriate radar mode.
As a player i want known information persisted, last known mech locations last known damage location etc.
As a player I want useful and diverse radar / electronics upgrades, more than just ECM IFF and BAP.
As a player I want irreversible damage to occur to a mech: arm blow off, legs blown off, weapons lost.
As a player i want accurate depiction of hitboxes, if I shoot an arm I expect to do damage to its arm system.
As a player I want modular hard point system, based on its location, arms / torso.
As a player i want realistic movement over rugged terrain.
As a player I want impassable terrain to be justified, no invisible walls.
As a player i want graphics to not interfere with gameplay, over the top smoke / sand effects
As a player I want horizontal character progression, not vertical ladder progression.
As a player i want to respec my character if I am not happy with her talents.

"User story" is a game design term for a hypothetical player's experience. Guy is talking over our heads at the devs.

These are my biggest issues with World of Tanks as it is currently implemented - and looks like this new mech game seems to be leaning toward 'copying' somewhat.

As long as that doesn't equate to 'stock'... as every mech game I've played stock load outs suck big time. If every weapon was usable in its own merit to exist individually (eg.. 1 Large Laser ripped a massive hole in a mech) then I suppose it could work... otherwise no thanks.

As a lifelong Battletech universe fan and tabletop player, I want MWO to be as-true-to-the-original as possible; this will make introducing new players to Battletech tabletop all the easier for both sides.

As a lifelong Mechwarrior player, I want this game to FINALLY give me a reason to take anything less than 50 tons beyond intentionally handicapping myself for the sport of it.

As someone who has been turned off of online games, I *REALLY* hope that this game is balanced in such a way that I won't find a game full of jump-sniping assault 'mechs, or that medium lasers - the workhorse weapon - are little more than doorstops. (I mean, in game, two medium lasers are supposed to be as powerful as 1 PPC. The Microsoft incarnation of the Mechwarrior sims made anything less than a large laser be garbage.)

As someone who probably won't find redemption of the online community in this game, I hope that DLC Single Player games eventually get made, or someone makes a mod that does the same. I would be willing to pay full game price for a single player game - even if it has no effect on my in-game stats or standings... especially if it has no effect.

I plus one this...

A singleplayer-able addition would make my day compleatly, since I tend to find PvP/multiplayer in general to be pointless and boring in the long run (usualy within a week, or even as low as a few minutes in some cases). Unless they manage to make a PvP/multiplayer in this game that does not seem as pointless as it normaly is. Although even then I would still prefer a singleplayer addition vs PvP/multiplayer.
