I'm just looking through all the mechs available for purchase (drooling like a kid in front of a candy shop he cant enter... yet). And I was wondering what some of the stats meant
Speed is of course easy and doesnt need much explanation
Tonnage, I assume is the guideline to which class it belongs? Though I'm not entirely sure.
Firepower, this bar is also a bit confusing. I understand the concept behind it, but what makes it rise and fall? Armaments or hardpoints?
Heat efficiency, I... Have no idea how to read this thing.
Armor, seems pretty straight forward, but it probably isnt.
Structure... No idea either.
I'm currently saving up for a Hunchback S4P (just 600k away) and I was jsut curious what all those numbers meant

Tonnage = the weight of that particular mech and determines what weight class it would be in
20-35 tons = Light 36-55 tons = Medium 56-70 tons = Heavy 71-100 = Assault
Mechs only increase in weight in 5 ton increments though. Ammo, weapons, engine size, etc. have no bearing on the mech's overall weight class or max weight.
Firepower = How much damage you can do at one time (If I'm wrong on this someone feel free to correct me) That means in one alpha strike (shooting all weapons at one time) you can do xx amount of damage.
Heat efficiency is the most confusing part in my opinion. 2.0 is considered good. Many other people are much more scientific in coming up with math for this but in simplest terms the higher your heat proficiency the cooler your mech will run which means you can fire your weapons more often without overheating and shutting down
Armor is straight-forward. More armor = more damage you can take. There are also new armor options Endo Steel and FF that will reduce armor weight but increase how many crit spaces they take up. I would highly suggest sticking with regular armor and engines until you get a handle on the game and get a decent amount of C-Bills built up for repairs because these options are EXPENSIVE to repair
Structure is internal structure of your mech. The FF option saves weight while taking up crit slots. Again this option can be very EXPENSIVE so I would suggest sticking with regular options until you have a good handle on game and C-Bills stocked up

I am a little vague on these as well, but they go something like this:
Speed: Top speed of the mech in it's default configuration, running strait across a flat surface. (Going up hills slows you down FYI)
Tonnage: Max tons you have to work with. This means a number of things, but it's one of the limits to how much you can equip on your mech. If your mech is 50 tons and you want to add something that weighs 2 tons, then you need to find 2 tons worth of equipment to drop. Max Tonnage also is a factor in calculating your top speed.
Firepower: I am not completely clear on this. I think it's simply the max damage you can achieve in an alpha strike, with the mech's current weapons. This should be taken with a grain of salt. A high damage rating doesn't necessarily mean it's a highly damanging mech. If those weapons overheat rapidly, run out of ammo quicly, or have long cooldown times, your damage output may be somewhat limited.
Heat efficiency: There was a dev explanation for this in the closed beta forums, but I never really understood it. The idea is that this graph shows how rapidly you generate heat with your weapons, vs how quickly your heatsinks dissipate it. However, due to the heat system being pretty screwed up in this game (as I have explained in other topics recently) this statistic is pretty borked in my opinion. I put no stock in it.
Armor: Quite literally the total armor currently on the mech, and the total possible armor you can put onto it, if you can free up some tons. Just bear in mind that that armor is spread among all the different pieces of your mech. You don't need to burn through every point of armor on a mech to kill it. This is just a rough idea of how well armored the mech is.
Structure: This should be the total health of the internal parts of the mech. This is just like the armor stat above, but this is what you damage once you have burned out the armor on a section of a mech. For example, destroy the internal structure of an arm, and the arm is destroyed and gone.
