Because I know many of you will be as excited as I am. A new Shadow run game is being developed http://harebrained-schemes.com/. It is being done by Jordan Weisman and is a RPG. This might be the best year in gaming ever!!!!!

And if you donate 7.5k Dollars you get to have lunch with Jordan Weisman as well.
Donating can be done here: http://www.kickstart...adowrun-returns
(Donations of lesser sums are also welcome, of course.)

And they cracked the 1 Million.
Now let's see if we can make another 500k in the remaining 10 days . .

This most certainly is the best gaming year for me in a LONG time. In no particular order but certainly all FASA:

1) Mechwarrior Online (Piranha)
2) Shadowrun Online (Cliffhanger Productions)
3) Mechwarrior Tactics (A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games)
4) Shadowrun Returns (Harebrained Studios)

Add to that the fact that Brian Fargo also has a kickstarter up (and has well met and exceeded its goal of 900K at currently 2.4 million) to bring us Wasteland 2...I'm just very glad computer gaming is getting this much needed love!

I wanna see how those games pan out; as someone who is addicted to being a vehicle rigger I want to see if/how they implement them before I try them out. They never give vehicle riggers the attention they deserve.

And they likely won't this time either . .
It's going to be in isometric, like Fallout, Fallout2, Fallout Tactics, Jagged Alliance . . Not so much like Syndicate/Syndicate wars, because these were not turn based but real time . .
And you may remember that vehicles, if anything, were only rudimentary and seldom usefull in these kind of games . .

In Shadowrun Online riggers will have to stick to drone rigging, as they can't implement driving vehicles because of their speed and size of the maps.
I don't really know about Returns, but there's a big MAYBE, because it will be a singleplayer game with huge maps/sandbox.

I was hoping for a shadowrun MMO. Its perfectly tailored for that. On the other hand almost anything is better than the giant nothing we've had for years now so I'll take it. Now to get a new Renegade Legion game going.

Now we just need a new mechcommander.

I know we have MWT, but I want a real reboot of mechcommader with an immersive singleplayer campaign, something that really lives up to the original game.

There is a Shadowrun Online in the process of being made. It will be a browser-run MMO. You can find out more about it at Shadowrun.com.
