I accidently TK'd someone because they were injured and had bumped into a target (out of LOS) that i'd just fired 80 lrms at.

I've also shot people when tabbing since you need to click in the game window for it to regain "focus" and stop your mouse wandering out of (game) bounds.

Other than that, new players doing what new players do. I've only seen TK's three times since OB started, once on my team and twice on the other. It could also have been killing afk players on the other teams.

Same for people suiciding out of bounds, only seems to happen once every 20 matches or so. be nice when that gets fixed. Since your technically killing someone on your team, you should get the -15k cbill penalty.

Yeah saw this in game today, turned around at start cause i herd fire and saw a dragon shooting at a friendly atlas and hunch, i shot at him with my AC20, then he turned on me. I ran for it but little did i know the enemy was all lrm boats and they had a inbound scout so made it less than 300 meters from base and was LRM'ed into oblivion. Fun times.

Was it at that forest place? With the waterfall in the tunnel?. Today I had a dragon there on my team (not even an hour ago) he was nailing a hunch and some other dudes.

But, if we TK the TKers, don't we become as bad as they are?

I haven't and preferably never will TK, it just ruins that game environment, you TK one guy, he gets pissed, TK's a guy that pissed him off because now he thinks its normal or alright or something, then everyone is TK'n and we end up with WoT's Team killing problem x 5...

There have been many threads on this, mostly in the beta forums. Some premades like to kill pugs that drop in with their not full group. Some people just get their kicks from griefing other players. There are penalties and you can report them, but it will always be a problem in an online game.

I have TKed people, but not without a reason. That reason is usually them being a ****** in chat, or in game. Prime example, seeing a Catapult A1 mounting 6 SSRM racks moan about light mechs being overpowered. I didn't team kill him, but I did shoot his ears off for being a ******.

In real life when someone says something you don't like, do you go punch them in the face?

I'm not averse to neutralizing someone that's trying to TK members of the team I'm on.

I've been TK'd a few times, mostly because I ran in front of someone firing at the enemy. I've also TK'd a few of my teammates but once again it was because they ran in front of me. Never had anyone TK me out of spite.

In over 1000 matches, I've seen maybe 2-3 "unintentional" TKs from people stepping in front of a firing mech and like 3"intentional" ones. 1 of those was a guy who just thought it would be funny, the others were because someone said or did something so annoying and or stupid as to provoke someone(s) on the team to kill them.

Basically, I would find it hard that someone regularly gets TK'd at random. I would bet they said/posted something or did some other act to get on a "kill on sight" order.

I did have a wounded jenner run into the back of my mech that was motionless, this caused him to explode and me to get charged a TK penalty. That was annoying.

I played maybe 30 matches today. And in 5 of them (I kept track) I was shot by my own team. Purposely... Only retaliated once. Does any else DO it and why? Anyone victims of it?

It's a well known mistake. People drop their keyboards/mice and accidentally fire their guns.

I was going to say something funnier but don't want to get banned again :P

Most people in RL don't because there are penalties involved. In this game, it's like the wild west. Go into a saloon and call someone a low down polecat, and you gonna get shot because there aren't any lawyers to file suits.

I haven't played with anyone like that. When I get FF'd its usually because someone is behind me and is trying to shoot over my shoulder.

Not right now, that would violate the terms of my probation and I can't play MWO in jail.

People do that to me, only they try and shoot 'through' my shoulder.

I've seen a few people kill their allies intentionally, though I have no idea why. (for some reason, ITS ALWAYS A RAVEN). Seen plenty of suicide runs as well. Had one Raven on the other team kill 3 of his allies over the course of the game before our team focused him.
