(The -1Rb is still pretty awesome - a good loadout, well-armored, and jump-capable; the only downside is a top speed of 54 kph.)

Hmm... I tried to build this, but I can't make it work. I have your armour, weapons, speed, but am stuck with 15 HS. I added CASE to a side torso where I store 2t of LRM ammo, so I end up with 65/65t. And even if I had more tonnage at my disposal, I have only 1 critical left... Your design is nice, it might even work in MW4, but with the given Mechlab I doubt you will be able to build this Matapult. Removing the pulse laser frees space and tonnage for two more HS... what I would do to make this design work better.

15 double or single heatsinks? I'm fairly sure he was using single.

Single... to free enough tons for the weapons you have to use a XL engine and Endosteel chassis, that's where your criticals go (6 + 14 + 14 for the FF = 34), which is why I had to use single HS instead of double. Let's not forget that IS LRM 10's are damn heavy, the two launchers weigh in at 5t each. If I had Clan LRMs it would be 5t for both.

Yes, it is exactly like the Rakshasa MDG-1B, the differences being a) the MDG-1B weighs in at 75t, b ) has 0.5t more armour, c) uses 15 DHS, and d) is not around until some time after 3052. The OPs intention was to recreate a 'Mech similar to the Timberwolf in both appearance and armament using a design and components that will be available to us players at launch. And I think he has come up with an interesting Catapult.

If you keep the base speed you can have a similar weapon's load. But I guess that isn't the author's plan no ?

Oh never mind, a 5/8 version is possible but your firepower takes a slight downgrade and you need FF armor.
The 3 extra DHS are all stored inside the engine since a 325 rated XL engine can hold more DHS internally.

Hmm... Without the third ton of ammo, the second case (just keep the ammo in one side torso), and maxing the armour instead, you end up with 1t and 3 crits at your disposal, which is just enough to get a 14th DHS installed. That helps with the heat from the ER-LL. Replacing those ER lasers with the standard version, the 14 DHS allow you to fire all weapons but the pulse lasers without generating much heAT (30 heat at 28 dissipation rate). Anyways, this version of the Matapult runs short of ammo pretty quick.

I kinda like the Marauder Catapult mix picture in a sick twisted "my sister is hot" kinda way.

Still, without confirmed hardpoint details all this is moot.

I have a bazillion and one variants that I've had over the years that I would love to post on MechSpecs but alas, until I have something concrete to work with I can't post anything cause it may or may not be accurate.

Why I said this was Hypothetically possible with the CPLT-C1 Catapult. To clear some things up on the build, since the new ones use ER Large Lasers. The build uses normal medium and large lasers and not the extended range versions. I did some recalculations on heat generated by weapons and it comes out to 19.7, so you should only need 20 heat sinks. 10 free ones + 10 more. Assuming that heat sinks are 1 ton each then thats 10 tons + 23 tons from weapon weight which is 33 tons total. The LRM-10 have 240 rounds each so a total of 480 rounds. I know nothing of pen and paper rules, so I should of clarified I designed this using MW4: Mercenaries. Forgot to mention something else. The weight of the design is 64.00 tons/65.00 tons in the game with 1.00 tons extra, so I'm not sure if that helps pen and paper people figure this out. I never designed this to actually use up all the catapults tonnage.
