FYi SoR leadership is in flux again (at least our MWO side of things) I'm still here, and will have more information shortly (see if I never become leader, then I can't get burnt out, but we'll see how things go with this next vote.)

Hey Surtr, been a long time since I've been around these forums.

Any way we can update our info a bit?

Unit Name: 5th Drakøns, Kungsarmé
Unit Type: House
Teamspeak: Yggdrasill.typefrag.com:8720
Approx. Unit Strength: 1 Company
Recruiting?: Yes!
Contact Person: Vhetra
Optional Contacts: DoICare, KVLTCLUTCH

We no longer have a website, so we're rolling with the TS.

Huh. Funny enough the 5th were already planning to do our own little "We're not that dead" weekend event, where we're gonna be running around getting drunk as **** and playing mechs.

So we'll probably stop by at some point.

Though, in true fashion of the FRR, we plan on being drunk.

Alas, our fearless founder and peerless leader, Surtr, has succumbed to that terrible condition known as "real-world responsibilities". Let us pause for a moment of silence at the passing of this great FRR hero.

In seriousness, I'm not sure this is 100% necessary anymore. It started because we didn't have a "hiring hall" of our own, but now that we have the Kungsarme Recruitment subforum, that kinda serves as a dossier of FRR-loyal units. If we need a thread where outfit leaders can chit-chat that's fine, but I'd say if you have a unit you want to broadcast, go ahead and throw up a thread in the recruiting forum.

This article http://mwomercs.com/...02#entry3713502 underscores my previous thread about scrimmaging with and against each other. Only together can we hold the line against the Clans.

Also, ECM is under attack again by the LRM fairies! http://mwomercs.com/...75#entry3719375 add your thoughts and suggestions. If we remain silent and the Devs give these LRM trolls what they want it will be LRMaggedon all over again!

Another thread to voice concern http://mwomercs.com/...20#entry3717262

The entire Missile and ECM system is under review, if it is reworked correctly, no there won't be an LRMaggedon. It isn't a poll to get ECM removed.

Lrms! Don't get me started. Lasted 35 seconds in one match from being hit by at least 5 lrm boats

Yeah the LRMageddon is a serious issue right now. Especially because PUGs don't understand that to beat the LRMs, you have to get in close. So they start moving forward, get poked with some LRMs, and immediately go hide just to repeat the same process until they die.

YES you're going to take damage

YES you might die

But it's worth it if the rest of your team gets in for the brawl and you cripple the enemy LRM power. Especially with how hard people are boating them these days.

Just ask to have your channel added on the FRR Hub. It'll save you time and energy plus it keeps you guys close to the community. :)

I am annoyed at PGI forcing MERC units to not be flagged, I know why, but still I miss the FRR flag (even though I only flew it under protest) oh well. I will make due with the FRR money you pay me ;)

I am very excited about this weekend as I will have more than an hour to play for once!

If any FRR units want to play send me a message, I am with 1st Hussars but am looking forward to joining with the FRR community.

"Welcome back listeners, to the Trondheim Live, Daily Report! We've had technical difficulties covering the ongoing pirate activity in the periphery - or rather, lack thereof - and we've lost some equipment and personnel in attempting to cover the events.

A moment of silence for their loss, if you please."

"Thank you. This is a brief message, just to let you know that yes, we are back and yes, we will continue to bring you all the good stories from around the Republic and around the 'Sphere, no matter the cost!. Stay tuned for new updates, which will be whenever we have them!

"And to the owner of the red and green Fox hovercraft sitting outside our studio, you're vehicle is being towed. Again, the owner of the Fox hovercraft, you're being towed. Thank you very much!"

Shhh. The Fox is being towed away by the temporal continuity police. When next you look it'll be replaced by a Harrasser in an equally inconvenient parking job.

Now with community warfare out, I think our unit leaders should meet on the hub to hold our first Althing in this war and decide who we want to crush first.

Not a bad idea. We'll need to get together on TS, and perhaps set up a secure page for our leaders to get together and discuss the details behind our border incursions on three sides.
