Since this forum went live, I, and I'm sure many others of you, have spent much of our spare time browsing, posting or lurking in it. bouncing from one topic/debate/request/poll etc, to the next, wrapped up in the whirlwind of speculation and chatter.

So this morning, as I'm doing it all over again, I realized I needed to voice something that I felt was getting lost in the insanity of all the aforementioned.

Therefore...

HANDS UP IF YOU'RE JUST SO **** EXCITED AND GIDDY THAT THIS GAME IS EVEN HAPPENING THAT YOU NEED A MINUTE TO PUT ALL THAT OTHER STUFF ASIDE, TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND WHOOP OUT WITH A BOOMING "HELL YEAH, KICK-***, AND THANK YOU"!!!

Whew...

I feel better now.

Yea it seems that they are extremely passionate about this IP!

Ever sense I was informed of MPBT3025's early demise I was simultaneously ****** off at myself and EA. EA for cancelling it to focus on a different project that never got off the ground either, and myself because I was too late to the party.

This new game sounds like a return to what MPBT3025 was trying to do, but with modern graphics, F2P, and with people who truly love Mechwarrior and Battletech at the helm.

I can NOT freaking wait to fight alongside my Draconis brethren on the battlefield! :)

I'm also extremely excited about all of this. I haven't slept well for days because of all of the speculation running through my head. Yeah, some of the negativity has lessened the sheer excitement, but I'm happy to see it's still out there!

Oh Hell, yes!

Still remember all that nights spend in the cockpit.
Its so much more rewarding fighting in a Mech then anything else you can strap yourself in!!!
What a blast with good Mechjockeys beside you knowing their housework.

Yes! I agree 100% and as if its possible I could be MORE excited , its because of of that reason. Add the fact we are going to get a persistant BT Universe, I mean, how can it get any better than this?

When this game was announced I almost fell out of my chair. Then after a brief spell where I danced with my cat (he fled in terror soon after). I sat down, composed myself, found this website, and created my profile so I could reminisce with all the other die hard fans that did the exact same thing.

....Except for maybe the dancing with the cat. That was probably just me.

Having a new MechWarrior game coming is awesome.

Getting to anticipate a new MechWarrior game is incredible.

Hard to explain. Now that I'm grown and have a passle of kids of my own, not much triggers that "counting-the-days-till-Christmas" feeling anymore. Not other cool game, not movies I want to see, or books I'm waiting to be released...I'm 27 years old, so I'm not far removed from the goofy kid to exuberant teenager days, (well, you could say I'm two marraiges and 4 kids old, lol), but now its like the days come, the days go and what is coming will get here when it gets here. Then it'll be another day and another set of stresses. The fact that I'm still capable of anticipating something fun and cool and be all super-excited is very valuable to me

Nother question for everyone; how much of our excitement is based off of the high level of coolness of BTech/MechWarrior, and how much as anchored in sheer nostalgia? (Hey, I'll even buy crappy Star Wars games for the same reason)

<Throws 'Mech hands in the air and does the Airborne Stomp... oh **** forgot to turn off the Chameleon Light Polarization Shielding, ... there, re-do the darned old dance. Not as fun the second time!>
