I'm sure part of the beta is to determine what the minimum specs will be, but does anyone know a good starting point for folks getting ready to build.
Maybe the minimum specs for crysis 3?
Have they even posted theirs?

If you have to ask, you need an upgrade

They will be doing testing in closed beta with different stats I am guessing to determine the min system req.

If you own a desktop computer within the last 6 years and can do DX9... I don't see why you could play. But yes, close beta will likely be used to determine hardware requirements.

I don't know about MWO yet...
But the minimum requirements for Crysis 2 are:

I hope we can remove a lot of options just to play even in laptops (as I do).

So should I bother upgraded my beta profile once my EVGA 680 GTX arrives?

Do you think the NDA they might have to sign would have a stipulation about not posting their opinions of system requirements before the devs have made an official announcement?

Well they have stated they are using the Crytek 3 engine, so aim for at least Crysis 2 specs. Personally I don't think I've looked at a games min requirements for at least a year and a half.

My laptop can run crysis 2 at max anyway. I wouldn't be too concerned about options such as that though. Most games which have come out in the last I-dont-know-how-many years have all had options to remove shadows, shaders, dull down textures and the like. I would honestly be shocked if they remove this, as it was built into Crysis 2 anyways, and their both built on the same core engine.
