Seems there is a ton of confusion about being a Lone Wolf, Vs. PUGS ( pick up groups --- for those who are Ummm wondering and too afraid to ask )

So lets go through the differnce real quick .......

Lone Wolf = Unaffiliated Pilot aka not sworn to allegiance to any House, House Unit or MercCorp. Factions warfare should have or has no bearing on your ability to fight where, and when you want.

PUG = Lone Pilot just looking for a quick match, and hoping he doesn't die...



Now for Rules,,, if there really are any

So we at the Lone Wolf website, have been gathering a few rules we play by, and or avoid.

Here are a few of the important ones; the others you will learn on the job
1: You must be an Un-Affiliated Lone Wolf -> kind of self explanatory
2: No Ranks, Leadership, or Ego-Stroking-Stature will be bestowed, given or awarded.
3: Game when you want, with who you want: no demands will ever be placed on our fellow pilots
4: You are only asked to register on Enjin, our website sponsor. It's free so no big deal - That allows us no advertisements spamming our site, and we can keep our secrets amongst ourselves - if there are any,
5: Never Log Off with a Lose

Ok, now a few things to be aware of, that are not rules, but the social dynamics of running with the LW's

A: We really hate Drama, ( it happens we have seen it, but we try to avoid it, offenders will be removed )
B: We only Tease people we like ( you better have a thick skin around us, but its all in good fun, and we never leave you to die - if we can avoid it)
C: We try to be family friendly -- (the key word is try, my Grandson often listens and watches, soooo yeah but, then again no rules, swearing does happen...)
D: Friendly Fire Will Happen: (often we just start fighting for the hell of it, it really confuses the enemy, but we are laughing our heads off all the time) Team killing.,., ehhh Never!
E: Bring your own Cider, and Chicken - this can only be explained on Team Speak.. I won't even attempt it here....


So if you have commitment issues, or real life issues, we are here to help. Just ask any of the 230 plus members; we average 10 to 18 per night on Teamspeak, and our Win/Loss ratio is well .... ungodly... you have to visit us to find out

What I read above sounds pretty good. I've been playing MWO on the closed beta and have been looking for a way to team up with others.

I downloaded and installed TS3 the other day.
Sent an app to Lone Wolf today.

LW Sounds like what I'm looking for. No Stephen King novel to read through no weeks of assignments, just get down to it battles ie A 2nd "JOB". I have a job as my fincee`'s personal attendant and care giver that is 24/7 I don't need another "JOB" I'm paid very well through the state of Texas. If I'm wrong lemme know so I can cease to move any further. I didn't see much information to look through until I found this post since the thread above this one leads to a login page and not something along the lines of about us or our mission etc.

Opus stated it pretty clearly above , we just gather on ts3 drop and kill mechs. there's a lot of banter back and forth which i enjoy alot. all skill levels are ok (which is very good for me , i'm very average)

Any thing else that happens probably depends on the what the game does in the future.

I got a little frustrated today by being in a PUG where it was recommended that we lose quickly cuz its fast money. After I found out about some united lone wolves I had to sign up.
