The same argument can be made for the opposite.

There is zero barrier for entry in using TS3. You jump on a public TS3 server, you join a group of random people, you play the game.

You could even completely sidestep TS3 and just make friends on the forum, use the friends list in game, and use the (semi-integrated) C3 VOIP.

You're basically saying that because one group of people doesn't want to use VOIP, the other group shouldn't. I fail to see where one group has any more claim to how you should be playing than the other.

And that's even ignoring the (correct) points made by Taryys in the post above.

This. This. This. This. This. The ComStar Teamspeak Server is a GREAT place to find matches. I've run in at least 5 or 6 premade groups, some outfit, some not, and all have been extremely welcoming. If you are a new player I cannot emphasize the importance of TS3 enough.

The way it works currently is that the majority of 'pre-mades' are random people with microphones.

You log into one of the public TS3 servers, you jump into a group of random people, you play. The difference is you're with that same random group for as long as you'd like.

Is it perfect? No ... it doesn't have the convenience of just hitting 'launch' but at the same time it tends to be a far better experience because you're not playing with a different random group of people each match. Pros and cons there to be sure, but it's not like you have to make a commitment or play with some internet napoleon who's barking out orders.

This logic is so flawed. Because you want to play with a group you assume everyone wants to play with a group! Let me put this into perspective because I'm assuming you're a male and assuming you don't want a child in the very near future.

In fact, I'll just replace a few words in your post so it makes sense:

You goto the club, you get all up in a random girl, you get her pregnant. The difference is you're with that same random girl for as long as you'd have the the baby.

Is it perfect? No ... it doesn't have the convenience of just hitting 'and quitting it' but at the same time it tends to be a far better experience because you're not banging a different random girl every time. Pros and cons there to be sure, but it's not like you have to make a commitment or play with some girl who raises your child, barking out orders.

Some of us just want to hit it and quit it.

I hate the term "premade".
Premade as to what? It's just a team. A bunch of random PUGs isn't.

And yes, it really is boring to often have no proper resistance and roflstomp PUGs. But instead of me having to not play with my friends in a multiplayer game, what's more than half the fun to me, why don't they just get some friends to play? The game is free and open to the public. There really is no excuse to play alone.

It's a moot point after this patch anyhow. Thank you Phase 1!

This isn't moot. The matchmaker is still awful, regardless of the why's and how's it's made the game unplayable for me. I can't see myself getting into this game until it's fixed. Getting blown out with 1 or 0 kills (team total) match after match isn't fun.

I believe this has already been mentioned but why not give new people and pugs a place to play. Make groups not possible on that server. You could even limit it to people with less than 500 drops - A training wheels server if you will. There they can learn the game and play by themselves all they want.

Restore full 8 v 8 Big Boys and Girls servers for the rest of the servers for the rest of us that want it that way.

Then everyone would be happy and all this stupid premade vs PUG crap will go away.

Nah that that doesn't even address the issue being discussed. Creating a server for rookies is an entirely different topic and may be something others are interested in, but won't do anything to aide in good matchmaking for ranked games. PUG groups and teaming is perfectly fine so long as they're finding a way to balance both teams, which right now isn't happening. In short, there are veteran players who lone wolf and want to see an even game asap.
