Does powering down not drop lock on LRM's anymore? When i power down behind a hilll i still get pelted by anything that was launched before i powerd down and if i stay up at least the AMS still runs... working as intended or no?

ps this is not a nerf LRMS cuz i git kilt out in the open w/ no cover thread.

When the lock is lost, LRMs will fly to the last known target location. So if you powered down, after salvo launched, they will hit you. However the LRM boat won't be able to shoot at you again, unless!!! It has LOS on you, in which case LRMS can be dumb fired. Hope this helps

They do lose lock but they still fly to where you were when you powered down/

Darn it sir, you're too fast

LRM´***** the last location they notised u, so if u power down, they lose lock but, they hit exactly at this location, where u are standing.

also if you power up, they can lock on you again ( the mechs) thus the missles now aim back at you. so powerdown A FEW seconds.

okay so run behind something... power down... power up move a few meters then... power down again? they shouldn't be able to reaquire lock if you are out of LOS right?

Working as intended - they lose lock and LRMs go to your last known location...which is exactly where you are if you power down. So, all LRMs currently in the air will still hit you.

Easy way to lose LRM lock: Jumpjet up, power down. You'll fall to ground, LRMs will go god knows where.

If you're moving fast enough when you hit P your mech will power down but will slide forward until it stops completely, making some (rarely all) missiles miss you.
This has worked a few times for me in my Cat ;)

You're better off running toward the missiles or perpendicular with them if you do that, should give a bigger chance of them missing.
