It's really strange. The visceral impact and shudder from hits on your mech made it feel like brutal battles between mechanical titans loaded with massive weapons.

Now the only way you know you've been hit is watching some directional indicators and the color change on a readout on the bottom of the screen.

Agreed. Feels really odd not having any impact from LRMs... you don't know that you are getting jacked up, aside from the damage indicators.

Oftentimes I cant even tell when I'm being hit.

I really hope they dont plan to replace the shake with Betty and the little HUD notification. I want SOME shake.

A whole pile of threads flooded the forums even as recent as last week asking for the cockpit shake to be scaled down as it was too severe.

The devs have responded and reduced cockpit shake, it's a value like any other and will be tweaked over time.

IT may have gone slightly too far the other way this time, but it is a work in progress. There will be plenty of people who think the current level is fine.

I imagine it will get at least one more tweak to try and get in the middle of the two camps.

Duplicate threads are inevitable, and I suspect more people will find this one. Myself, I just read through the titles and CTRL+clicked on everything that looked relevant. yeah you can't really tell how much damage your taking with the blinkyblinky armor display, so you dont know if your taking lrm15's to the back or someone is just raking you with small lasers.

Yes, please put this feature back. I used it to gauge if cover was effective. Removing the screen shake/knockback is for wimps.

I think the screen shake was overdone, but there should be a bit at least.

Should have been scaled down 15-25%. not removed totally. Drastic knee jerk changes don't help the game.

Agree with op. The shake actually did warn me of lrm damage. Now, not so much.

I'm glad there is no screen shake anymore. Getting shot constantly from missle noobs in the back of the map is no fun and on top of that not being able to aim properly.

I don't know what ya'll are talking about, sure it's not nearly as much as before but there is still cockpit shake, at least for the 5 or so seconds you get to live before the 100's of Artemis LRMs destroy your face through the mountain.

Cockpit shake for missiles is totally gone. There's still shake for ballistics and (I think) SRMs.

couldn't agree more, put the shake back in, and the alarms aswell, it kills the immersion to remove them...

i want the shake back even though its messing with my aiming, it just feels right when you get hit by a kinetic weapon
