The Nvidia Bobblehead is now buncing....thank God now I can play !

srsly, I think PGI should re-think their priority list. just sayin.

Animation of a bobblehead would not take the same person who is writing code for game mechanics.

On that note, might as well include that parts of winter forest colony paths have been altered or made inaccessible. For instance the massive snow bank that blocks the patch next to the cave entrance.

I don't honestly consider this so much a undocumented feature, as just a different map.

Also, now you can't chat while being dead.

Had a Commando I was with run into the left section of the Snow Colony cave (from the built-up area) and get stuck in the ground for the remainder of the match. Right at the upper entrance. You can try it.

It's probably just my imagination but I think jam rate on UAC5 was decreased. Either that or I have been really lucky. In almost 10 games I've had only one or two jams. It used to jam every match.

Wonder if those could be confirmed, as I know a new version of the unjamming mini game is on the cards, so maybe as a temporary measure they changed the rate of jamming.

How often do you double-tap? I may have to test this myself.

That's just the type chat bug. Press enter and you'll send the message you typed minus whatever the buffer flushed out after the 'mech you were spectated died

For instance

*watching teammate*
typing -> "Hey man, you need to group your weapons *teammate dies* so you can blah blah"

When the teammate you're spectating (or yourself) dies, the chat box vanishes and the buffer is flushed at the point of 'mech death. Pressing enter will "fix" the bug but also result in you sending out a message

"so you can blah blah"

Does that kinda clear up the chat bug?

Edit:

I would love to see some proof / test run to see if the rate of the UAC5 jamming did decrease. I think the average rate of jam was 10% prior to the patch which was still incredibly unreliable.

It could be proven simply by starting a match with plenty of ammo and holding down the fire during the double tap to see after how many X shots it jammed. If anything, they may have reduced it to 5% chance on the double tap since many people stopped using them altogether (except for those who use a macro).

The steeper angle of LRMs is not undocumented, it is part of the Artemis functionality.

it´s a bug: unintended restoration of the old CBT flightpath... will be fixed

  • Increase of all heat sink efficiency on the two snow maps?(unconfirmed)

Snow map was not affecting heat dissipation in ANY way for the last few weeks, it was a heat neutral map. If they've fixed that with the new snow map and the old one, yay.

Wrong. You re-roll crits for ES and FF slots, and if there are no criticals to hit in the location, the crits transfer to the next location. Battletech Master Rules, pgs 35-36, "Battlemech Critical Hits":

(for those not familiar with the Damage Transfer Diagram, damage transfers from the outside/extremities toward the center torso: Arm/Leg -> Side Torso -> Center Torso)

By the way, Battletech "Master Rules" is an outdated source. If you don't have the latest Catalyst rulebook, you're outdated bro.

Does the Catalyst rulebook say that Ammo in legs doesn't transfer to the CT when it goes boom?

No idea... I haven't read "Total Warfare" I haven't had access to any of the new rulebooks.

I'd assume if Ammo goes boom, it would eat up the Leg "HP" move on to the side torso HP, then work into the CT... but it would have to eat though ALL of that.

It doesn't in MWO though - thats why I asked.

I keep all my ammo in my legs, no downsides apparently- ah ... that was stupid to say...
