Played five matches, lost all of them. Always had more trials on my team. Looked like we faced a lance every time as their were 4 founders tags or more on every team and only one or none on ours. Clearly PGI doesn't give a s*** about PUG stomps in open beta, but I think this is going to cost them loads of potential customers daily who can't find how to group or don't want external grouping. From how they describe the changes, it still looks like the system has trouble matching a premade or multiple premades VS another premade. It's my opinion, but the number of premade players should be even on both sides, or just remove premades until you get full proper matchmaking and a proper social system and in game coms. I know they wanted to get out ahead of all the other F2P and paid shooters coming out, but I just disagree with the idea to open the game to the public without at least MM or in game social tools, as people are just going to move on.
Add on top of that, the light/medium/heavy trial mechs are seriously under-gunned and slow. The trial Atlas is nuts though. Played a 6th match with it and it's extremely versatile with decent firepower, and while it's slow, it'll only bring in an opposing Awesome or Atlas. That match was PUGvPUG at least... You'll see a lot of them in every match... but at least they aren't the Noob-somes of the last trial.
Buffing LRMs too without ECM... Jebus...

Every match your 4 man drops into will have 4 pug players on your team.
...
That's not what the patch notes say. You can still get matched with more premades.

If you actually cared about winning or thought you had any chance of winning, you'd be on the free TS3 servers making your own premades instead of whining about them. I would happily only play other premades, don't care about losing or dying. This is a game, it's about having fun. All 4 mans does is remove half the players fun and does nothing to alleviate stomping.
Caring about winning and not wanting to PUG stomp aren't mutually exclusive concepts... except in this game...
