Could try doing what I've been doing since the lack of patch, run the most abusive mechs you own and stomp the **** out of the pugglings and post "this pug stomp brought to you courtesy of PGI failing to bring back 8 man teams" and hopefully get them to cry enough that PGI makes phase 2 a priority for the next patch.
so...you're actually saying "My advice is to throw childish tantrums until you get what you want, it's what I do!"...that's just sad.

im not for that either, but i see your point. i want the puggers happy, but i dont see why that has to make the premades unhappy. would a seperate que really end the game.
the sad thing, is according to the devs and what they are listening to, pugstomping is the best way to get what we want, we need the puggers complaining that the premade menace is everywhere and the reason they lose all the time. thats what seems to work.

All I ask is, give us puggers a "No Premee" option. So we can finally get rid of these whiney little spoiled brats.

the irony. if only you could have seen the crying pugs a month or so back.
full 8 man premades Vs full pugs was just a complete wash but the thing that annoyed me so much about it was the pugs acted like it was EVERY game when statistically it was about 1 in 10.
They cried so hard PGI cut it back to 4 per team even though they have been given the figures, it didnt matter.
The puggers cried about 8 man teams and it worked, so I guess its hardly surprising the premade guys are doing exactly the same thing now LOL
He who cries hardest wins!

While I'm not doing anything of the sort (I've really just stopped playing lately until (if) they fix some of the worst problems) however ... that's the only thing that seems to work which I believe was his point.
There wasn't actually a problem with 8-man teams (those of us who PUGed and played in teams didn't seem to be having a problem), but once the vocal terribads got every new player who was dying simply because of inexperience thinking there was, the perception became reality, the forums were filled with tantrums, and PGI came up with "phase 1" to get rid of the pre-made boogyman.
Now that terribads still aren't winning every game, the crying hasn't stopped and the team players are angry that they are reduced and being forced to play with random people instead of their friends.
So it's basically lose-lose all around which is what a lot of us said in the first place, and since PGI couldn't meet their own deadline we're stuck with it for another two weeks (unless they miss that deadline as well, in which case ... longer).
At this point I'm just going to play other games and check back in two weeks. But I don't expect that everyone will be that civil.

It takes one to understand another by undergoes same experience.
Your 8 man team is just a tiny grain of sand compared to MWO player base.
Get over yourself.

See, and here's the funny PUGer math that has always confused me.
Either 8-man teams were a problem, and PUGers were constantly facing them ... or they were a tiny fraction of the player base and weren't really a problem in the first place.
If it's the former, then your hypothesis is actually incorrect. If it's the latter (which it actually was) then there was no point for "phase 1" (or "phase 2") in the first place, and they should have left things alone and worked on an real matchmaker that's based on skill (elo) which they are calling "phase 3".

That is a complete, one hundred percent, flat out lie. I got in day 1 of open beta. I know. Yeah, I'm sure the premees got a 5 to 1 kill ratio fighting mostly other premees.
What kills me about the whiney premees is that they act like if the new players in trial mechs had just used voice chat and teamwork, they would've just put the smack down on the premees. Don't act like you somehow curbstomped them with just teamwork and player skill. The difference between the trial mechs and your tricked out Atlas with maxed out skills is like comparing apples and oranges.
What they should've done was randomly switched the premee mechs with the new players trial mechs. That would serve them a large helping of humble pie.
Yesterday, we beat a team with 6 premees on it, we had on only two. The funny thing is, I know they were somehow laying all the blame on the 2 pugs on their team. Whiney, little spoiled brats.

All sides complained about pugstomping. It was unbalanced. It was boring for premades. It was boring for pugs. All sides except the people who just wanted to continue pugstomping of course.

compleatly forgetting about the large number of us premades who never dropped against silly puggers till this patch forced it on us, i loved 8v8 and it made this game wonderful. now its just alright, stomping silly puggers gets old. my win rate and KD went up after this patch as i was no longer fighting other 8 man groups.
