Tue. Apr 17, 3049: The maligned Firestarter—hated for its dangerous flamers—has received a Coventry upgrade, including electronics and AMS.

Love the firestarter. We share a common interest.

Where's the snapshot that goes with this PR?

More likely the FS9-S, since that one has the AMS and the BAP.

I'd say it's the FS9-S. The whole 'Mech got rebuilt with an Endo Steel chassis which gives it enough weight to change up its loadout. It's got four Flamers, two Medium Lasers, and a single Small Laser. A SureFire 444 Anti-Missile System has been added to protect against missile attacks and a Beagle Active Probe has been installed to cement the FS9-S's place as a scout. The only thing that's missing is a C3 computer... Still, with four flamers, it's a rude surprise for any opponent depending on energy weapons.

Even more rude to that division of infantry trying to hunker down.

Really hope the Firestarter makes it into the game, great scout, great specialty mech, great at altering terrain and obscuring vision and ruining intel gathering, satellite view (where did all that smoke come from), great at punishing alpha striking energy boating mechs (Awesome this means you)

Yeah the firestarter was a great mech, though I will admit, it is a bit more Anti-infantry biased.

I wonder what do the Clans think about this mech with their laser and honor (I can't believe I said those two next to each other) obsession. ^_^

Correct, it's the one listed in TRO3050.

I really wish there was precedent to now correctly anticipate the Firestarter would be the next 'Mech Reveal. Think of all the fun variety and tactical implications it would add...

And just look at it!

And Clanny, you'll have to wait for a little bit. :P

Can you all stop posting Clan Mech wishes. The clans have not yet started to make their little but never finished race to Earth and everywhere people are wishing for Warhawks, Summoners or Cougars. Which is a bit of strange. Besides the fact that we in the Inner Sphere call these fine Clan machines differently.
