It'd be strictly pay2win then, since you could only afford it with premium + founders mech (and later hero mechs). Thats a pretty dark road to head down for PGI.
Actually they couldnt afford it either even with 1800 damage figures, since rearm would cost 600k+

I usually pay for mine and make about 100k profit.
Same, I always rearm even in my founder cata with artemis lrms.... 4 tons aren't a big pain at 75%. But I admit I'm not sure they're really worth it.
For now, since I can afford them easily (even if I didn't have premium bonus or founder), I keep 'em.

Well, if they also reduced ammunition cost so that you don't pay more than you'd have to right now for full topping up... heck, they could even reduce it further, the idea is that the 75% for free without reloading makes boating highly expensive ammunition actually cheaper than packing a sensible amount of ammo and reloading after a match.
Anyway, it's not really pay to win if you can make mechs that are unprofitable to run. You don't need to run unprofitable mechs to win, either. But that's another argument entirely.
Bottom line is, something should be done to prevent people from abusing the free reloads without screwing everybody else.

On average it probably cots me 120k to rearm. (75% paid for). Let's assume one day they go for the 25% thing, that would then cost me instead of 120k = 25%.....360k for 75% (other 25% free). So I would make a loss.
I'd still run it, especially in 8v8 premades to get the win.
Then I'd just run a few games with a scout to make 200k+ profit to put me "back in the black" and queue up for another 8v8.
And I'd not pay any more than I do now.
If I was a f2p player I'd do exactly the same but just play a few more in the scout to make up the difference.
In short, it would change nothing and cost me nothing more than I'm willing to pay now, other than a bit of time. Which is not "Pay 2 Win".

Edit: Love to play right now but I'm at work. Got another 6 hours before I can get back in the cockpit.

Posting the high scores actually will help drive the point that they are over powered. You seemed to have missed the point of the thread.

Exactly as I intend. I don't like LRM's, they don't fit my play style which is to get in people's faces but current anything remotely near a brawler just gets nuked before it can do anything. My favourite build, Atlas with Dual PPC, A Gauss, Dual SRM 6 and Dual Med laser running a Standard 200 just dies in seconds thanks to LRMs and I haven't used that mech since just after TAG came in.

All that being said, getting 7 or 8 kills or 1600-1800+ damage is by no means "easy", you still need to play well and have a bit of luck (and good teamwork) so I decided to contribute. Oh my, evil I am. <rolleyes>

You need to rethink your build.

Wait...did you just say "skilled" and "noteworthy achievements" in regards to LRM damage just now? Nothing against LRM boat pilots but brawling/sniping take more skill than LRM support.
As soon as I get my D-DC back, I'll try to break 1500, just to see how easy it is right now.

Now now, don't be bitter. Or post some LRM higher damage shots to show how easy it is. Please don't make me make a "sniper" Gauss Cat, or "Brawler" Streak Cat or SRM Awesome....because all of it can be done in any build. Not just LRM. Or at least I can. Can you?

First fight with an Artemis boat, Foundercat with 2x LRM20 and some pewpew lasers. Have not used the cat in a long while.
