I'll probably give that one a whirl - especially if they go all "Hunchie/Dragon/Centurion" with it and stick multiple ballistic slots in each arm.

The 3D and 2X models too if i'm gonna elite the thing.
3D for a brawler. 2X for balance bulid.
On a side note: any idea when the Jaegarmech or the Blackjack will launch? sadly they're probably going to be as close to the Rifleman as I can get...

Is there anything from PGI that confirms that they're keeping the 4X's hardpoints the same? After viewing the little preview on the site (it was linked in a past post), I'm suspicious that the 4X's ballistic hardpoints will be moved to RA/RT. Maybe our proto-jaegarmechs ideas are gone.

There's no real reason to change the hardpoints.

Someone actually datamined the hardpoint layout directly from the game and had posted it in some other threads. Not sure where that was off hand though.

3D for the jumpjets and dakka dakka
2x for the dakka and missile arm.
The game just needs more dakka.

The Right Arm of the CTF-3D and both of the CTF-4X's arms have Lower Arm Actuators (in addition to the Shoulder Actuators and Upper Arm Actuators), leaving only nine (9) open criticals in each arm.
The AC/20 requires 10 critical spaces.
Unless the BT rules for splitting weapons across locations (applicable to only AC/20, LB 20-X, UAC/20, and the Heavy Gauss Rifle) are implemented by the Devs (e.g. 8 criticals in the RA, 2 criticals in the RT), none of the Cataphract variants would be able to support dual AC/20s.

For the others, 1X and 3D. Not sure what I'll do with them, though.
