Hell's Ponies Merc Corp is looking for more pilots to join us. Our team is pretty well balanced across the weight classes so we are recruiting pilots of any mech type at this time.

We have a pretty good split of players between US and Euro times and have members from US, Canada, Brazil, Britain, Scotland, Denmark, Sweden and I'm probably forgetting some others because I am bumping this thread at 0408PST and really should be sleeping.

We have now been around for 2 months as a merc corp. We take the game seriously and play to win while also keeping the game fun. We don't force members to use specific mechs or builds to get those wins.

If you're a lone-wolf or in a merc corp that is constantly screwing around and losing as a result of the screwing around, check us out if you're tired of losing and want to win. Keep in mind we are a pony group, if you don't like ponies there is a pretty good chance you won't fit in.

New players are also welcome to join as we spend time training new members. We have taken new players with only a few matches and turned them into very effective scoreboard topping pilots. Can we do the same for you? Join today and find out!

I might work on some mechs I haven't finished getting up to master level, I guess it depends what the rest of the group wants to work on. I might just run my usual mechs for GXP (saving up for future modules) while others work on less often played mechs.

Phase 3 matchmaker soon, so all this exp will be put to good use, hopefully.

I suppose it's not a bad time to grind GXP either, now that you mention it. Supposed to be a % of the exp you earn each match, no?

With the double exp even those 8-man matches we ran earlier were decent GXP on those wins. A few losses of course but mostly wins and the new recuits we had with us performed very good. I was surprised that we really weren't failing to find matches either in 8vs8's.


On the topic of 8-man groups, Hell's Ponies is looking for more players interested in running these 8-man groups (you don't have to be Atlas DDC or Raven 3L to run 8's with us). We will be spending more time in the 8vs8 matches as we continue to add new members to cover off-peak hours 8-man groups.

Thanks Sir Roland, I think we were playing our unusual setup of 4x centurions in the matches we ended ended up playing together so it might have seemed a bit more interesting than usual. It's difficult to remember with all the matches played (and alcohol consumed) during that double XP weekend.

I think we were mostly grinding out XP on our less often played mechs and testing their effectiveness at hunting light mechs. I admit it was lots of fun and proved medium mechs aren't as useless as some players have claimed.
