Can we please have some form of collision added back to the game? I'm sorry but it's absolutely ridiculous that a light mech can dance around Heavy/Assault mechs shooting with impunity from right under their nose.
The complete lack of derogatory effect from having a leg blown off is not helping either. A leg kill should in the very least hamper movement speeds. Lightly armored mechs should fear assault mechs not think, "oh gee there is an easy kill". Light mechs are supposed to be recon specialists - not assault mech hunter killers.

I second that notion.

Pardon?
If you leg a mech, it can barely move at that point. It takes the movement speed down to like 5% or something.
If you are seeing legged mechs moving at full speed, then it is a bug. (there actually was a bug like this earlier in beta, but it has since been fixed)

I would normally agree, except I've takne Lights to Assaults in BattleTech a number of times and (although I nearly always lost) inflicted terrible, terrible damage to said assaults. Dat mobility and movespeed modifiers. One of my Locusts almost solo'd a Marauder MkII (until he took a couple hits and lost all his wepaons).

Yeah light mechs can be a menace in TT but they generally don't have the armour to take a hit from an/10 or even a large laser without being crit. That said something like a panther can still cause a hell of a lot of damage with its PPC before it gets put down if used intelligently.

I'm not for collision reintroduction until it's ready/fixed.
There is a bug where legged Mechs (usually lights), regain speeds of ~65KPH even after being legged.

If you lose just ONE leg then you lose about half your speed, if you lose BOTH legs then it's down to around 5%.

No, you tool, if you lose one leg your speed drops by 85% (down to 15%). If you lose BOTH you DIE.
No need for such names, man. But I was just saying from experience because I've had one leg destroyed as a Commando with a top speed of 97 and dropped down to about 44. Maybe they're different for all mechs or something?

All I can say is "be patient". Knockdown is coming back as soon as they fix it, and I have gotten the impression that it's a priority. Even as a dedicated commando pilot, I agree that it needs to be there, and it will. The old system just had too many problems.
