This is my theory on all of it.
Once the meta game rolls out, we will have 3 options, join a house, join a merc corp, be a lone wolf.
Joining a house will let you advance in rank in that house. You will have access to special skins, and cheaper equipment depending on which house it is. You will also be paid a flat bonus for winning matches under said house.
Merc corps will pay normal prices, and recieve normal rewards for winning and losing matches. However, they will have the potential to make more c-bills in the planet conquering meta game based on their own play, aka winning or losing the planet. Much higher potential for c-bill gain over a house member, but much less stability in the amount of c-bills you will recieve regularly.
Lone wolves will probably have lots of special stuff they can unlock, skins and sybols, cosmetic stuff. Possibly gain whatever reward bonus they are helping win (fighting for a house, get a small bonus, fighting for mercs get a cut of the c-bills)
When the clans come, my guess is that the tech will be more expensive to keep repaired, and the mechs themselves will be VERY expensive to aquire and maintain. This way, the actual gameplay, the weapons, will be attainable by all, and the mechs themselves, will be rarer on the battlefield.
If you join the clans, I would guess that you actually take a big c-bill cut from what you would normally make(because you fight for honor and what not), but it is cheaper to maintain all equipment that you own.
Whatever they end up doing, it should all revolve around the mighty c-bill.
