Personally, I really enjoyed the cockpit shake induced by getting hit by weapons. I really would like it back. What are your opinions?

Also, post the reasoning behind your vote. Why do you prefer having/not having cockpit shake?

Shake should be determined by the weapon you are getting hit by.

An AC20 to the face should rattle your cage.
AC2 to the foot? No shake at all.

Lessen the cockpit shake on LRM's, because in my opinion, it is outrageous. You can't even get a return shot off if they continuoulsy rain down on you.

Lrm 5 and AC2 shake needs to be toned down

those were the only two weapons that needed to be fixed.

Cockpit shake forces you to realize you are taking damage. It's easy to get tunnel vision and cockpit shake, shakes you out of it.

**** yes, bring it back. Even if it's tweaked a little, we need it. Nothing can replace the smack-in-the-face you get from your cockpit rocking when you're getting messed up - saved my life more times than I could ever count.

yeah this would give LRM a more defined role.

Instead of cheap and unfair. it now can be used as sort of a "soft CC" pilots will want to equip 1 LRM rack on their mech to disorient enemies (the odd LRM on certain dragon and centurion stock variants will actually be useful for knocking), but boating will not be as effective.

will limit boating while promoting multi arsenal builds.

I initially voted yes, then deleted and changed to tone it down a little. Some people raised some valid points, like getting hit with just an LRM 5 shouldn't shake you much. However, despite how annoying it is I did feel not being able to effectively return fire while LRMs are raining on you makes sense.

I do not like any of the choices stated. I would accept "cockpit shake" but only if it is actually shaking the entire mech. As cockpit shake is implemented now is fake and unrealistic (my entire mech is not shaking but the cockpit hard attached is? huh?).. my targetting has not shaken at all and I see right through any "cockpit shake" now and only find it an annoying visual effect.

i think the shake should depend on how big of a weapon you are getting hit by and how big of a mech you are piloting.

Support weapons such as LRMs should provide suppression.

Simple enough. I'm fine with AC's providing shake as well.

I'm actually rather surprised at just how the voting % are turning out. Almost no one seems to like the lack of cockpit shake. Personally, I really miss it. Right now it's just to easy to load up a jenner with 2 srm6 and some small lasers and sneak behind Atlas or other large mechs and tear them to shreds without them even realizing it.

Right now it is hard to tell when you are taking fire. Those red lines around the periphery just don't stand out all that well. We need more audio and visual signals of being hit.

Cockpit shake is a pretty good indicator for being hit with ballistic or missile weapons. Lasers should make a nice loud searing sound like hamburger on the grill.

If we could get some kind of shake scaling that would be great. an AC 20 should ring your bell quite a bit. an AC 2? not so much. This should apply to the amount of missiles that actually hit you as well. Duck behind cover and only take one or two? Little to no shaking. But if you take a full volley from a pair of SRM 6's or LRMs that should rock you a bit.

It's the loss of vision that was confusing but if the enemy just stood there your aim almost never moved.

Would propose slightly less loss of vision and a little more crosshair shake.

Cockpit shake should be there but it should vary a lot depending on the weapon's type and damage, as well as what location on the mech is being hit. None of this constant-rock-by-chained-ssrm2 foolishness.

Big bore and/or super high velocity rounds/particles should make a decent shake. IE: Ac10/20's, LBx-10, Guass rifle, PPCs. Big ***** slap.

Little rounds and smaller munitions should not shake much, but perhaps more often due to sustained impacts. IE: missile impacts and Ac 2/5's. Slight tickle.

Lasers and MG shouldn't do ****** all.

I can't feel any feedback from the damages done to my mech from the LRMs. It seems like all of a sudden my mech armor is critical. Please bring back cockpit shake, as the game is not immersive without it.
