I dont know minimal requirements, but belive that yes. i7, ATI Radeon HD 5800, 18Gb ram.
windows 7 x64.

During patching free space on temp partition is ended. May be problems from that. Bu patcher say "all ok".

Try diz:
1. Update Microsoft .NET Framework to 4.5
2. If card ATI RADEON then install 13.* ATI CATALYST videocard driver version

3. Before installation check the available disk space (5GB at least). The default installation location: SYSTEM_DIRECTORY
4. Try start playing.

My system param:
Intel i3 3.06 MHz, 4GB RAM, WIN7 x64, ATI RADEON HD 5700 1GB

Having the same black screen problem. it began as soon as i installed the new patch.
but it was about every other game, i will play a game, then next time the crash occurs, then i have to log out or restart to get away from the black screen.
this is obviously related to the patch change and the solution probably is in there.
go for it PGI, get it fixed, meanwhile, i am going to explore planetside 2

Well, I have the same problem. I start the game and a black window appears. The sound seems to be ok, but I see nothing, even when I change the window to fullscreen. I simply can't play this game.
I have the newest version, the newest graphic driver and .NET 4.5 . So, where's the problem?

Edit:Ok, I needed to reinstall the whole game. I don't know, what went wrong before as I already had to
reinstall the game before due to wrong hashcode values after downloads.
