If you die while getting hammered and your screen has the blurred effect for taking damage, the blur effect will persist after death as you (try to) watch the rest of the match as a spectator.

Yeah, me too. If I get hit with missiles right as I die the blur stays while death watching.

I reported it a couple days ago, PGI said it was a known issue.

And better yet My question to the devs is, why am I getting the @#$%ing BLUR when I have it set to off in the options? I mean I turn it off I still get it and it lags the hell outta the game for me.
Is the engine broken that the switch can't be set, or is the coding not being done right? It has been this way for atleast the last couple of patches... please show us progress because this makes the play suck!

Just had this happen to me two games ago. I thought I might be playing some retro Mech Warrior on my old 486 :)

It was easy to fix back then - just clean the CRT and you get crispy picture again. :)

You turned off motion blur, not getting shot in the face blur.

Yes it stays after you die sometimes... I was in spectator mode after getting cored, and the blur actually hurt to look at..
.
Happened 3 times last night, and made me want to step away from screen to avoid eyes going googly moogly... LOL

I had this happen in conjunction with another bug. I overheated and powered back up only to still have the power down screen with no aiming reticules etc., then I died and got the blurred screen when I went to spec.

Its still happening, I would rather be able to stay and spectate the match, but now I find myself wanting to DC after this blur screen happens.

It really sux for the new guys wanting to pick up some tips to help them live a little longer in the game the next time around!

Confirmed it's still present in this build as well. Present on Nvidia 560Ti with latest drivers (Windows 7/64-bit) Strangely I didn't see the after-death blur as much in the previous build.
