I have not recorded it exactly, but it seems lower than it was.

Has anyone tested this pre and post patch?

Yeah, get the same feeling. No issue though, if you have a proper play session you'll earn plenty.

I am not so sure about "plenty".

I wish I had been recording it. All I know is so far I have used GXP to research the pilot tree sensor module already (10,000 gxp), and was just 2000 away from the support module (15,000). That a lot of points in the old system.

Now I have been playing for many hours and have only gained about 200 points. I think I am getting less than 10 pts per match, in most cases.

The grind to unlock modules is like reaching the max level in an MMO. Except in an MMO you would actually feel like you were getting a worthwhile reward for your time. The modules are neither worthwhile or interesting.

Same here,

I got less Bills per match, but that has not been changed I think..I think my/our way of playing just changed a tick after that LRM stuff came and the groups got smaler.

But that might just be me...

I am trying to determine if the % GXP per match has changed, and if so, by how much. Whether the modules are worthwhile or not is irrelevant.

Just play a match and record you XP gained vs GXP gained. Do it a couple of times to account for rounding. I'd do it but don't own any mechs.

Thanks. Got that part. The problem is I don't have any data from before the patch. It overwhelming "feels" like it is much lower, but no actual basis for comparison.

(Just curious, you are an Elite Founder. How can you not own any mechs? You cannot sell, or in other way, dispose of your Founders' Mech).

To my knowledge (I did pay attention to the XP/GXP ratio before), it should have been GXP= <10% of total EXP.

The cheapest module (adv. zoom) is at 5K GXP, it's not much and I don't want to earn it in a few hours. I think the GXP is closer to what it should be when the game is released than before.
PGI has probably been buffing GXP/XP gain during closed beta to get the data needed, but set it at a more "realistic" level now that we're in open beta.

From a money-grab POV, it makes sense to award GXP at a glacial pace. I'm sure the decreased flow of GXP has prompted more than a few to use MC to convert XP to GXP. I've got over 100k XP on my Founder Cat, and it's just going to keep going up because I'm not paying for conversion.

You can be my LRM boat anytime Cole! <3

As far as the topic goes, I haven't noticed a significant difference in either GXP or CBILLS.

I am measuring it be 7.5% now. That is better than what I was expecting, but still seems to be lower than it was at the point of OB.

I am averaging 75 GXP for a win and 40 for a loss.

PGI fails at forums. There is a bug where people who get refunds are not removed from the founders groups.

It was supposed to be 5% iirc. Thats doubly likely because 5% is what you get in WoT and PGI pinched the GXP system from WoT. Incidentally thats where the MC package pricing structure comes from too.

I dont know if it has been listed anywhere, but I noticed recently that xp per win is 300 and loss 100. Im pretty certain it use to be 150 for a loss and 500 for a win. So even if the %gxp has not changed, overall xp earned seems to have, indirectly decreasing gxp per match.

Perhaps someone else can confirm if they have seen actual documentation from developers of my observation.

After computing my GXP vs my total XP I have figured out that the rate is ~4,949%. I am assuming the difference is due to roundings of fractional GXP and, therefore, the rate is indeed 5%.

Try calculating it off your actual experience and not the total after premium account bonus is added.

If he does that he should get 7.5%. Another little perk of premium.

Think about it. 5% w/ premium, 7.5% without. GXP is not considering premium bonus.

Pre OB you earned GXP at the rate of 5% of Mech-XP iirc, so for example if you earned 100-XP in a match, you'd also get 5-GXP.

I assume it's the same now, but I honestly haven't checked recently.

*EDIT* Ninja-ed
