I like the idea, but I don't think the current base size is large enough to handle such a butt ugly sculpture. Where am I? The museum of modern art?
****, ok, i'll deal with the pod people ship, if you'd please also increase the square size. ;)

aww come on what's wrong with a little art in a game.... to be honest that "sculpture" looks more like an oil rig to me (but you're right it is butt ugly) . .. btw. i do think a little cover in the base is a good idea

It's a tad easy to get caught up in the workings at the bottom if you're hairing around the base in a light and a lag spike hits. That's my only issue, really, and it's hardly a game-ruining one.

I'ts scale is a bit off too. I think it should be about twice the size to match up with the mechs.

Scale and put it to the far edge of the square. It's silly right in the middle.

I don't mind the idea of putting something there to represent the "base". It does create an interesting game of peek-a-boo when you are trying get an enemy off your base.

However, I too do not care for the current incarnation. Its size does not seem appropriate relative to the size of the base.

Ultimately, it would be nice if the "base" were some kind of defensible structure perhaps with some variety of automated turrets. I'm thinking of MW4 here, but perhaps that is a feature to be implemented further down development the road.

So again, what exactly *is* that thing? Is that something from the BT lore? Do tell.

it certainly makes it much harder for lights to deal with anyone in cap. less room to move, not sure the implication of that yet, need more testing. maybe its a good thing.

if you put anything that has a dps in the game, the min maxers will notice fast that their dps is higher when they stand right next to it, no one would ever leave the base

Yea the scale is way off. Need to be at least 2 or 3 times larger, but then it would fill the entire base "square".

I stand by that it's a micro-wave oven. Just a different model than the one before. Probably an XXXXL Microwave oven. (1/16th the weight of the previous oven.)

The platform, whatever it is, should be an armored structure with ams and small lasers/ac2 that you need to destroy "before" you can capture the territory in my opinion. Would give some actual meaning to the game mode being called "Assault".
