I know I know, you're suppose to use a mouse/joystick. But I was wondering if it'd be possible to change the torso twist/target recipticle up/down binds to the arrow keys on a keyboard instead? I just want to give it a try see what happens. However, not really to sure about editing .cfg files and what not. Anyone know if this is possible/be willing to instruct me how to do it?

You can do it, but I am afraid no matter how you set it up, the torso/arms aiming will always put you at a disadvantage over using a joystick instead of a mouse.
It will work, but in a game like this, if you miss an opportunity for a better shot, because of slower aiming, you will not likely do well.
It is kind of sad, because when you think of Mechwarrior, you think joysticks. But with the way you aim arms separate to torso aiming, I don't think there is any hope for joysticks to be competitive.
The joystick works well for driving, so if you don't mind a left hand stick and a right hand mouse it is very doable.
If you want to use joystick, instead of mouse, anyway, I would recommend focusing on builds that don't rely on fast, accurate aiming, like a long range missile boat, or a Catapult with 4 to 6 SSRM2's guided missiles.
Or if you like scouting and being a spotter for other players with LRM's, it would work.
