I have posted before on the subject of contracts for extra currency, but I finally have something to compare it too which everyone can test out.

Basically, when I said "contracts" I meant a system very much like the "Quest" system in AirMech.

You complete achievements and daily objectives and you get currency for it on top of match wins. The only difference is that I propose that you have to "take on" a contract, that only one can be taken on at a time, and that they pay proportionately more than the AirMech version. Plus it would be nice if they were more complicated, say, "Win a match as every class of mech in 24hrs."

I love this idea! Black Ops had a fun contract system. Contracts cost a certain amount to "buy" then when you completed them you got the reward. They ranged from simple, "Get X amount of kills within X minutes". To "Get X amount of kills in X matchs with X type of gun" Could be easily used to encourage spotting, damage per match, kills per match, Salvage per match... ect

Rewards for using specific weapons isn't something I have even thought of. Excellent idea.

Sorry but I prefer something that fits with the battletech universe. No one would pay you to get kills with a specific weapon. Contacts go to merc units (no pilots) for the capture or elimination of objectives. It feels more immersive that way.

That was back when they were a bit overly optimistic. I'm trying to suggest something that could be implemented NOW, not in two more years of development at the current state.

I can understand your POV. But the complexity of contracts that is present in most MW games is kinda difficult to work into the game in its current state. Later on they can introduce something that would make sense from the perspective of the Battletech universe.

Kill counters could be later identified as bounties against a particular faction, for instance.
