So I just got MWO, excited and ready to play. Everything went over well, I made sure DirectX was up to date before playing, and settled down, ready to experience the new MechWarrior my friends were raving about.

Well, after the splash screens and the log-in, the main view loads and then the game quits. I tried again, same thing.

I went into the game files looking for a crash log dump, and found exactly what I was looking for. Here are some snippets of one (I only included the errors):

Submit a fully detailed email with the log and crash dump submitted to here: http://mwomercs.com/support
Also can you upload the crash dump file to an upload site, So I can see what might be causing the error to help you possibly fix it?

I have two cards: integrated Intel HD graphics and a dedicated NVIDIA GEForce 540m (this is a laptop), but the default card should be the NVIDIA.

is it a mac laptop? Also make sure your system is in Full Performance mode in the Power Options Control Panel So the geforce card gets used.

It's an ASUS laptop. I always use high performance mode when not running off of battery power for exactly that reason. I'm certain it was an installer issue or patcher issue because most of the errors in the crash dump/log were mssing content.

The "omicron.log" and the "crashdump.dmp" are 2 separate files/things...

The errors you are having in the "omicron.log" are normal UI errors for this stage of the beta development.

However The "crash.dmp" file contains code from the game that caused it to crashed and it can only be understood by the game developers and other software developers such as myself who know how to read the file.

If you send me that File I can more then likely tell you what caused the game to crash.

All that tells me is which dll's were loaded into the game; and That wont work because I need the raw data which means I need the dmp file.

Alright I got it! :( This dll on your computer "msvcr100.dll" is missing or it's damaged/corrupted, So to fix that you need to reinstall this: http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=26999

Let me know if that helps and if you get another dump file then send it my way again so I compare the 2. ;)

It seemed to work a bit better, but instead of crashing immediately, this time it stopped responding briefly. Here is the new crash dump; I renamed this one crashdump2 so I could keep both.

I'm heading off to bed so I'll resume this thread tomorrow. Again thanks for the help.

That crashdump2.dmp has the same error as the first one you gave me...
