Since the time I first joined the ranks of House Liao and started to have "negotiations" with people from other powers in the Inner Sphere, I came to a question I have failed to answer by myself. You all know that outside of these forums, my BT knowledge is still only forming and I have hard time getting some vital information.

Therefore, I would like to ask mates, did House Liao served even a little in the Clan Wars? I know we had the united Marik-Liao offensive and that we were busy taking back what belongs to us and that our Chancellor became the first leader of the renowed Star League, but did any of our warrior houses travel to fight on that distant battlefield?

I don't think it could happen (seeing the fact they would have to travel through the Davion territor), but I would still like to know if any Clan ever tasted a bit of our Vindicator PPCs, if any of them got showered by theh rain of LRMs from our Catapults, while getting spotted by our nimble Ravens, Therefore I ask mates, will any of us taste the feeling of victory over another superior enemy of ours and then carry a nice trophy with him back home?

Thank you, for clearing it out for me.

Adridos, out.

Your chancellor refused to commit troops to the combined arms effort, so no - Capellan troops did not face Clan forces.

Edit - Initially. See below for other details. Keep in mind though Adridos, that just because house units didn't initially fight the clans, doesn't mean you wont be able to in MWO. I'm sure you'll have a chance to get your Timber Wolf.

So that means the only way we are going to acquire Mad Cats, ERPPCs and all that other Clan junk is through killing yours?

It's going to be sweeter, but I can see some problems. <_<

Tsk, tsk, typical FedCom propaganda. Of course we took part in Operation Bulldog and Snake, and also fought on Strana Metchty.

The units in question were the Red Lancers and Kingston Rangers (and Harloc Raiders were part of the coalition force sent to Coventry).

One of the Warrior Houses also tested its mettle shortly after Tukayyid against the Steel Vipers, gotta check which it was once I'm at home.

Ah, then I stand corrected and apologize. My history is a little....vague after the truce. I have no doubt your warriors acquitted themselves well in battle. I must be recalling Romano's initial refusal to commit troops. Was it Sun-Tzu that eventually sent them - or did Romano have a change of heart? I'm just curious.

Romano died a month after Tukayyid. But stay silent on that matter, she doesn't know yet. <_<

Ah ok thanks - I read some of the novels out of chronological order once and since then my time line has been shot to hell.

It will be interesting once the clans do arrive to see how players from other houses (of noninvaded territories) will be handled. I hope you guys will be allowed to fight the clans head on - but I suspect canon will have to be thrown out of the window. I'm ok with that - but it will be interesting to see how the devs handle it.

We fought Davions for centuries. Under-gunned and under-equipped, with noone to stand by our side, we prevailed and we will become one of the greatest IS players a bit later.

You, on the other hand, got beaten by a telephone company. Once the initial suprise worn off, you got pushed back and one of your precious Clans got destroyed. And you will just stay at the northern border of the IS and never achieve the superiority you had just because of your mechs. :P

Also, I don't need Mad Cat to crush Davions, but some nice boost in form of Clan equip on my mech with the influx of lostech won't hurt, especially considering the fact Davions get them too. <_<

The Knights of the Inner Sphere were instrumental in the success of Taskforce Serpent and several units from FWL took part in Bulldog ( read the link I posted above)

The idea is that Clans don't belong in BattleTech. <_<

I'm ok with that answer haha. I think setting it in 3025 would have solved a huge number of problems.
