Since the time I first joined the ranks of House Liao and started to have "negotiations" with people from other powers in the Inner Sphere, I came to a question I have failed to answer by myself. You all know that outside of these forums, my BT knowledge is still only forming and I have hard time getting some vital information.

Therefore, I would like to ask mates, did House Liao served even a little in the Clan Wars? I know we had the united Marik-Liao offensive and that we were busy taking back what belongs to us and that our Chancellor became the first leader of the renowed Star League, but did any of our warrior houses travel to fight on that distant battlefield?

I don't think it could happen (seeing the fact they would have to travel through the Davion territor), but I would still like to know if any Clan ever tasted a bit of our Vindicator PPCs, if any of them got showered by theh rain of LRMs from our Catapults, while getting spotted by our nimble Ravens, Therefore I ask mates, will any of us taste the feeling of victory over another superior enemy of ours and then carry a nice trophy with him back home?

Thank you, for clearing it out for me.

Adridos, out.

Well, the CC is on the other side of the Inner Sphere, so they were out of harms way. Good thing too, the FC would have made mincemeat out of them if they weren't busy fighting Clan Jade Falcon and Wolf.

I fore one will never fully trust anyone form the House Liao, But I will say this Sun-Tzu Liao was a very good leader of his people. Much better than his mother and grandfather. At the very least more stable, even the drunkenness he displayed was a staged act to give him a edge over his enemies. Both in his own government and the Inner Sphere as whole.

@Adridos: The alliance between Houses Kurita, Liao & Marik is still in effect (look up Concord of Kapetyn on Sarna). So when the Clans invade, grab a jumpship & head north. I'm sure the Dragon would welcome a Capellan Expeditionary Force. I'll put the kettle on. <_<

The Concord of Kapetyn isn't worth the paper it's written on, being a document signed by two insane meglomaniacs and a manchurian candidate paralyzed by myopic beaurocracy. All of who distrusted each other and two of whom have a history of animosity between each others' states.

Frankly, the only reason to contribute troops at all to the anti-Clan effort is to acquire samples of their technology for the state. There is no reason for the Capellans to aid the eternal Davion aggressor in defending itself, as even a madwoman like Romano knew.

I know about the alliance, even its "shortcommings", but it would be nice to be able to fight with our allies against a common enemy once more, not just from quarter the IS away. ;)

Hopefully the Charger will be in the game by then so we can compare your -1A5 variant with our -3K. ;)

The Knights of the Inner Sphere were instrumental in the success of Taskforce Serpent and several units from FWL took part in Bulldog ( read the link I posted above)

Plus the 1st Free Worlds Guards took part in the Great Refusal. They were one of the few IS units that lost versus their clan opponents, likely because their stubborn insistence to paint their 'mechs purple really made them stand out from the surrounding terrain.

Also the CapCon supplied what we weren't stockpiling to use against the FedRats the Combine and FedCom with munitions during the VatBrat Clan war.... though not as much as the Combine or FedCom would have liked....

And the testtube baby Clan threat lead to the development of the Snake battlemech. Which from what I remember, was designed to kill elemtentals. But since the CapCon knew next to nothing about the Clans (I'm guessing they weren't paying any attention on Outreach when the Dragoons spilt the beans on their orgins) they cobbled together a mech which they thought would be great at taking out toads, but in the end were unsuccessful in that endevour :D .

They did however make a great anti-vehicle mech

Max was a good leader. The 4th SW, and all the treachery and betrayals just made him snap.

Hunchback on steroids vs. Highlander on steroids? That seems interesting. ;)

The Inner Sphere's score was 5-2-1 (W/L/D). Comstar were also defeated in the Great Refusal. The St. Ives Compact only managed a draw. I mean, I could point out that Jade Falcon, Wolf and Star Adder were the tough clans to fight...

Well, every the time units from House Liao engaged those of the Clans, the former were victorious.

Also there were Kapteyn Accords between Kurita, Liao and Marik, an agreement about military cooperation, so, I guess, if devs want us to fight clans alongside with DC, they have a matter.

The so-called Clan Invasion is nothing more than an Davion Imperialist Lie told in an effort to get me to stop hitting them in the face with mangy squirrels.

I only pretended to believe their idiotic falsehoods while i waited for the next batch of mange to set in.
