A Trend Started By Losers

It's happening much more often now and it's very annoying because it wastes everyone's time. Although the killer does get XP, he in turn does not register a Kill for his stats.
What could possibly be in someone's mind to do something loser-ish and cheesy like this? To perserve a Kill-Death ratio? My two cents, those people need to get a life.
Not much we can do about it I guess. Sorry just venting.

Perfect example, you're in a Raven early in a game, you're critically injured by one enemy. And three enemies are closing in on you. The rest of your team is still alive. You Alt-F4 and leave the game because you don't want to die.

the only suggestion i could make would be, that you A:) plain and simply don´t earn ANYTHING before the match is OFFICIALLY ended for you (so match over, or you are dead) or B:) disconnects are counted as DEATH... sorry for those who actually have real disconnects, but i for my part could live with that (i don´t care about my K/D anyway... all i care is my income really... and my team winning )

dunno, some ppl think that other ppl think they are cool or s.t. if they post their Kill/Death ratio somewhere...

I'm seriously tempted to do that when I fall due to the inanity or uncooperation of my random drop mates, which is fairly often, even when there is a 4-man group amongst them - those don't always want to talk to pubs or lend us support when we're under attack, often leading to a brutal loss.
It's another matter entirely when the kill is well deserved.
Not something I would do to preserve my KDR, as I couldn't care less about it, anyway, but simply out of frustration at my 'team' as well as the opposing one.
I imagine that other players might have similar motives, or not.
So far, however, I haven't witnessed a single occurrence as you've described; pilots often disconnect, but only after having their 'Mechs destroyed.
And I've been playing often, and extensively.
Maybe the 'problem' - you just want to rack up on those kills, don't you? C'mon, admit it - is isolated.

I doubt anyone would run a truly expensive 'Mech build (ammo-dependant, Endo, FF, XL Engine and DHS) in random matches, so, even if it were your intent to cause those pilots grief, I'm afraid it's of little to no use.

EDIT: Since it seems the old closed beta bug that requires you to restart your client every so often has returned, everyone should be restarting after every 5 matches.

I warned about this in CBT, stats are to be used internally only. Make them public, even if only the player can see them - you open a pandoras box of griefing, stat padding, bragging and noob calling.
Once we get Elo that stat page should be removed or replaced with Elo data.

I think online gaming has proven that some people will do literally anything when there is no accountability.

If you get d/c because your system black screens and you are forced to restart your laptop/pc, the client still shows you as in game and everything and anything that happens in the game will be given to you because the client and system still thinks you are in game.
People that disconnect right at a start of a match get nothing at all. To sum up, people that alt-f4 get nothing as well, they don't even get anything they did up until they alt-f4, to my understanding anyway.
I'm sure someone in the know will come in and correct me, because I am unsure on it myself.

That does need to be addressed, and in a better manner than "write a report on them".
Most of the time the action is so frantic I'm not even aware if someone is AFK and a dedicated defender or a very unlucky player who gets one-shot might honestly show no damage done for a match.
