I have a question,
Nobody will be able to truly answer my question, but...
Does anyone have any idea how IS squads, such as the Sky Rangers, will receive orders? Or will it be up to those running the groups to make all decisions?

Giving yourself a tittle is like giving yourself a nickname IRL. It just makes you look desperate for attention and insecure. I really hope that tittles/ blood-names, etc must be earned. Besides trails like that would make people feel more like clanners anyway.

Another day passes and no Bryan

I hope everything at PGI is ok, and there isn't some crisis that is slowing him down...

Sorry for the delay on my write up. Hoping to get it done today. Lots on the go in the office today.

Take your time! The point is, at least we know some clarification is coming on this matter soon. =)

They must have been working on some way IN game to deal with this , but havent worked out all the kinks, why else would Bryan promise something, and then take this long ???

So this is a good thing.

or they could still be locked in a fierce battle over comstar.

Hmm...let's see...play test MWO or write some essay on why certain unit names will or will not be available?

I know what I'd be doing. ,-)

Tell that to Madonna, Sting, the Artist formerly known as Prince, all those rappers out on the streets,... That list could go on for a while.

I fail to see a contradiction with the prior statement here.

Prob one of a few things, one: that it is something built into the game but not all of it has been decided so meetings have to be schedualed for it. two; it really doesnt matter what you call yourselve devs just want to see you worry fight and complain about it for awhile perhaps some monitary bribes will show up and they can treat themselves to free pizzas, three; they arent sure themselves yet, figureing it was something that could sit on the back broiler tell the open beta comes out.and four; they dont wish to slight you but its so far down on the list of his worries that when he puts out the other 12 technical fires they are wrestling with he will let you know.

Most likely its some combination of things most of it being how they have designed the game to work and they want that to be a suprise or secret for as long as they can keep it , that and most likely all the code still isnt finnished yet. Sometimes it is better not to let people know everything untill they get their hands on it. It lets them have room to add or take things out without the players getting all bitter about it. I'm suprise more of you are not more worried about if your system will run the game at all. What will be needed so on so that you can start saving and upgrading now.

Comstar has kidnapped Bryan since he was about to leak sensitive MWO information to the screaming masses.

I haven't seen anybody claim something, other than those kids who claimed Comstar.

These things will work themselves out. For some, it will frustrated them on an RP/canon level, but we mostly have to accept that this won't be like Btech canon. There will be far more fighting going on, probably far bigger map changes, than what went on in the Lore. It's going to be fun, even if you call yourself ilKahn from Clan StarShip Enterprise Z.

I got a tweet from Bryan earlier, he was out testing the new Raven and took a AC/20 to the knee. He's still limping in from the battlefront.

I think, for Clans, It will be restricted to Clusters. Why? Because your 'contracts/missions in game terms' will be coming from your Galaxy Commander.Say when you create a Clan 'guild' You are asked what Clan and what Galaxy it is from. You get your orders from that canon Galaxy Commander Posted Image

and That´s EXACTLY how it should be done. I, for myself, stick too much to canon to accept ANY player to claim leadership of a whole canon faction. MAYBE one of the Dev´s :D , but us players? we´re simply PIXELS in the BIG PICTURE, get used to it. Seyla.

When the clans come I think "enrollment" should work like one of the IS factions. Rank should regulated so that audacious people don't just claim it unjustly, it should be earned just as it is within the IS factions where play time and skill are deciding factors.

Edit: someone with a Star Commander tittle should have play skills representative of that rank.

i´d even be happy with having to actually go through a trial of bloodright than simply claim to own a bloodname. though i think there´s enough bloodrights to for all GhostBears here, for we aren´t the Pupppies where every "Private Pauler" wants to be a Kerensky :D

(actually, i don´t expect much competition because the Kabrinski Bloodname is mostly owned by Elementals  )

Boromir: "One does not simply "claim a Bloodright."
