the one you win and the ones you lose

who win and who loses is not decided by you, neither by team work,
the team who wins is decided by the matchmaking.

why you ask?
after 2 whole days of playing MWO like 7 hours a day i noticed something that happens in every battle, the winning team is full of their own mech, and the team who loses have 3 or 4 trial mech.

they need to fix the matchmaking not only for mech tonnage but by trial mech quantity also.
or handle trial mech battles separatelly.

Ive seen mixed groups on both sides most of the time.

Winning and losing is determined by pilot skill. Period.

Matching trial mechs would be a good idea though.

Nobody likes a challenge anymore. Everyone wants everything just handed to them.

Yeah, I've managed to with the help of one friend co-ordinate 6 trial pilots to fighting a team of solid founders and one guy who wasn't a found but he had a Cicada. We were able to pull the game off with only loosing 4 mechs. Its all about co-ordintion and skill to be honest. I've seen founders proving a "point" and were rolling around in all trail centurions. Course this was when LRM's were a little over the top as hell still lol.

The reason for this? Trial mechs are complete trash.

saw the same this evening..4 times in a row, the oppenent team was full of founders (thinking of one or two groups) and the other team had 1-2 founder (including me) and 2-3 trialmechs. there is no challenge in this games, all 4 battles were lost even when i managed 2-4 kills alone...
this matchmaker should be fixed..its still not fun in a pug.

and its still no fun in a premade..

we need premade vs premade and pug vs pug..would be more fun and challenge for everbody

So, you just started playing the game and haven't really gotten the hang of the intricacies yet and you are wondering why many of your games are a loss...

Are you playing buddy-buddy with another, larger mech? Boring, I know, but at least he'll have someone covering him and you won't be pants down in Thunderdome on FColony.

Or perhaps new players are not as good as experienced ones?

Trial players are grinding, just want to get to next match.

Most players have zero clue about teamwork and everyone goes off to get 'their' kill...

was in a battle yesterday with 4 trials on my team, 1 on the other. we won

i guess the fact that i took note of that detail speaks to how unusual it is, but it's not impossible

The trials atm are decent. Most can be used effectively. With a good player behind the cockpit, the trial mechs can hold their own in combat.

I've personally been winning most of my matches in my trial Atlas. I do think that they should separate trial and owned mechs though.

I will say I have a huge gripe with the XL engined mechs, not a fan.

Well if you have a bunch of new players and they don't yeah you'll probably lose but if the new guys coordinate they can win, because the other side probably aren't trying to work together any better.

Trial mechs aren't ideal, but a lot of people make pretty goofy setups on their own, or they'll have such a narrow role cut out for theirselves, that it's also a handicap. It's mostly about skill and mistakes. I usually lose to capping that I'm too lazy to worry about or the rest of my team falls on their face on the other side of the map.

I just in the most intense MWO PUG ever. We literally won by a hair with a base capture, while there was a massive fight going on in the middle of the map. Whoever won that fight would have determined the match.

which is why i tend to run around in cheap scout mechs, they are cheap to run, and i can hide and save cash when invariably you get 1-2 DCs or 1-2 afks or 1-02 suicides in your team.

that is the nature of f2p games which require grinding. You do not usually see this kind of behaviour otherwise. It is a very diluted experience as barely 1 in 1 games are with substance the rest are roll overs by 1 side or the other
