PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the memory leak after 3 to 4 games having to restart the client is just stupid. I have all the latest drivers and its still not fixing. The last few patches have not changed anything for this. If anything, they have made the maps worse.

Agreed. It normally happens for me after around six to ten matches, but it happens. If I'm pulling a long session, and I get stressed with percieved kill-steals and such doing that, so it doesn't happen often, I'll have memory leaks five or six times in a day.

I'll have to second this. The game crashing after several matches can get annoying over the course of extended play.

I don't normally hate on bugs in developing games but this one is a literal crippler. Missile Hell Day was helmet-level stupid but it was still funny to see and fun to play in with the right mindset. The Leak is just evil, as it lies in wait to jump out and eat your frames.

That being said, that last match before a reboot has upped my game on lag-piloting and reduced-frame targeting: I always try to still contribute even when I'm technically only picking up a 1/3 of the overall images. Like taking a whole bunch of drugs. I assume. >____> I pity the skills of the people I have managed to kill while in that state. It is not a large number but it is higher than the zero it probably should be.

The only thing I despise more than a sore loser is a sore WINNER. One of the most pathetic habits in any competitive anything. I only condone it when the fight's loser was a braggart before the fight started, then it's justice. I do actually feel bad for those guys if I could kill them while simulating some kind of brain/vision disorder. if I could outgun them then they probably needed to be in a rookie pen for a few weeks before coming onto the battlefield; I'm not so good/full of myself that I'm going to be all I AM LAGMONSTAR HEAR ME ROAR. :E

it starts to get annoying... and it also seems that grafics issues are getting worse in the last few days... they seem to be related to the memory issues though...

PGI considered it to be more important to add bobble to the Nvidia Dawn than to fix memory leaks or netcode bugs.

Not sure how much of this is MWO and how much of this is Windows.
I started out on Windows XP SP3 and also have Windows 7 64bit on same computer, dual boot.
Under Windows XP I found that if I was using computer for something else before I started playing MWO I got problems much quicker (Lack and all the other problems). Then I used Windows 7 64bit I had no problems at all apart from the odd game crash.
A stack of the problems/bugs I reported are just no there under Windows 7.

So suggest
1. Start computer and MWO do not use anything else before playing.
2. Reset computer every 4 & 5 games (Yes it really helps). As better to enter a game knowing you have a change of playing without lag.

As for me will stick with playing on Windows 7, as not sure how many of these problems are really MWO.

What is your guy's memory usage?

I found that normally, the game operates in sizes averaging 500-650MB. When the game starts leaking like crazy, and I get 1-2 FPS, checking on the process shows the game to be using 1.3+GB of memory.

For me it is mainly Graphics memory that is being filled, I can watch my graphics card memeory slowly fill up, ~150mb per match. Once it hits ~850mb just in mechlab (post match) I know I need to restart client. Yes please fix this PGI.

I start at 460,000K and it goes up even sitting in mechlab. I get 4 FPS when it reaches 1,400,000K. Triple memory allocation from starting point ....sure there is no leak.

Just open task manager and watch it tick up.

The problem hides in the GPU memory usage (leak).

If you have Nvidia card, download and install MSi Afterburner. It will show GPU memory usage (aside from other useful info about the card).
Just watch for 'GPU memory' graph after every battle and when it's getting close to video memory installed, restart the client.

I'm using it, and when my GTX570 got pounded (to it's 1280Mb limit) after 4-6 rounds, I know it's time...

Bump. Getting really frustrated when the game reminds me I haven't restarted in a while by putting me in a 4fps deathmatch. I'm sure my fallen teammates are screaming at why I'm missing such easy shots while my internal monologue is narrating a slide show of my worst vacation ever.

I'm hoping for a fix for this as well.
Last time it happened, I just said via team chat I had the 4fps bug and I was going to walk onto the cap and power down behind the doohickey in an attempt to still be useful.

Ah, loosen up. A little non-personal smack talk adds flavour.

I'm running AMD HD Radeon 6950 and I have gotten 5+ crashes of this type today. This is becoming more and more frustrating.

Agree 100%

Back in closed beta I never had this game crippling problem. I really hope they get this fixed asap.
