it would be nice to have the game stay up for a night's matches without those i have "dropped" with being a 'mech short every six or seven drops.

Still, I hope they fix this error since other people are experiencing the same problem on other maps as well.

but of the same breed..
I notice with my TriSLi setup, this isnt an SLI issue persay..
What's going on is the game is loading all 3 cards VRAM,
as I have everything max settings at 1900x1200, it's using 1.2gb of vram on every card.
Maybe it shouldnt be doing this?

the last few weeks I have been having a popup saying that my GPU, an ATI Radeon HD 4850, is unsupported however this ran the game fine at mid to high detail in open beta and yes I am planning to update the GPU in january, however I am reluctant to stop playing as other than that the game works fine, and I am starting to get good.

On the bright side, this game loads real quick, just keep pressing spacebar.

Hope it gets fixed soon 'cus this is otherwise not really playable and kinda hard to sink money into something that behaves this way. Unfortunate...

2. Reset computer every 4 & 5 games (Yes it really helps). As better to enter a game knowing you have a change of playing without lag.
Doh, I just posted a own topic about rebooting often. This really helps. I don't need to reboot this often, but once in 20 games or so...

at least that way i'll know that it was time to restart the client anyway because i really don't want it running off of a pagefile.. just a pity for the poor guys i'm bailing out on who'll then have to fight 7 vs 8
but i can't help it.. not like i'm of much use anyway with ridiculous hard drive lag
i tend to restart the client every now and again so it doesn't happen.. sometimes it will happen after as little as 3 matches tho so no real way of predicting when it will happen
edit: also sorry for reviving an old topic but this still seems to be an issue

4fps bug? never heard of it or experienced it.. and i'm using an AMD card aswell
is it a constant 4fps or just hitching caused by the game reading data from the hard drive?

this would also be caused by the memory leak
if your page file is either very small or disabled this won't happen.. the game will just crash when it runs out of memory
has nothing to do with the GPU

Full game 4 FpS. It doesn't happen to often since being given Murphy's Tower. It's a definite drag though.

PGI considered revenue to pay for their developers salaries more important than to fix memory leaks or netcode bugs. The game is free to play. They need to have content for people to buy to keep the game going. I don't fault them for monetizing during the biggest game playing season (the holidays).

Lots of people who have more ram will be able to go on playing longer before it breaks down. This is how come testing on the lowest end systems is good for developing software. a memory leak shows up right away, and it's easier to track with less ram overhead.
