Hi

I started a new match with a friend.The HUD was all gone. Tried shutting down and starting up again. No difference.

I played with me friend guiding me by telling me who was enemy mech etc. And somehow using R for my streaks worked, since I was able to hit them once I just waited few secs for them to lock. So everything else was working. Just that the HUD was all gone. Next match it was all ok again. Didn't had to restart the client.

Also this happens from time to time when shutting down due to heat. But it usally fixes the bug by shutting down and up again manually.

I have never lost the HUD when loading a new game but I lose it fairly regularly when overheating. It seems to happen more frequently when I'm stressed and start button mashing and/or taking damage just as the mech boots up again. A manual shutdown has never worked to fix this but if you overheat it solves the problem most of the time. Next time try overheating.

I get the HUD disappearing when overheating as well....Just try and re-overheat and over ride, and it seems to come back...the only issue with that is you might over-bake and explode as I have done a couple of times....Another weird one I had after I died and was spectating, was all the views were blurry around the edges...like that old way of making soft focus cam shots by smearing vasaline around the edge of the lense.....verrrry weird...This update does seem to have been the most broken...

Well you don't have to go THAT far. Loss of HUD after overheating can easily be cured by the average reactor shutdown. I believe it's the X key in an unmodified layout.
Switch off, switch on. Works!
I think the mechs are equipped with the same kind of hardware as my PC...
It does however not work in case of a blank HUD at start of game.
I hit keys like a pro but there was nothing on my screen but my cockpit and the landscape.
Couldn't tell friend from foe so I decided to only shoot at people obviously shooting at me and made a beeline for the enemy base. I find that one without a map, thank you.
Needles to say that my death was a matter of seconds. Oh the joys of flying blind.
Anyway, I restarted the game just to be on the save side and never had that problem again. I was kind of hoping that this had simply been a freak accident...

I just ran into the same problem...got confused as to what team I was on, so just ended up running out of bounds to avoid being the cause of friendly fire.

As a note I was not button mashing at the time, nor was there a heat shutdown.
