I think we need to start seriously considering what and how we are going to approach this game. We have about one month, and we have some decisions to make.

Time to muster and discuss the future.

Depending on how many numbers we can get I'm looking at three things. My old unit from back in Mechcommander days is looking at a possible revival and I think it'd be a good place for us, we'd be Wobblies =). Another group is formed from some cats from the Dropshipcommand forums. And then we could attempt to build a full C4 roster. I plan on hitting this thing pretty full time and would like a fun but organized and semi serious group. Lemme know ya thoughts.

Asaru, several others and myself were chatting about it last night while playing ME3 and Asaru said he has gotten some strong feedback to our call to muster.

We have alot of questions to ask and answer.

Do we want to align with a house? Everyone agreed that if that is the case we will probably stick with Davion, but the idea of having a Merc group is also very provoking.

Do we want to keep the C4 or KA tag, or do we want to pick a name that fits more in like with Canon? Asaru had an interesting thought here, since there will be individual lances within the clan, do we want a clan title and then filter down C4 or KA into the lance name?

Those were just a couple. Most of the questions probably won't get answered until we get into the game itself. But starting the dialog now is not only fun, but will get everyone up to speed and interested so we will have our group fully engaged on day one.

Hey guys!

I answered Asaru's call to muster as soon as I saw it randomly being on XBL the other day playing Gears with my cousin for some stress relief.

I can't express how excited I am for this game. When Asaru first told me, I was like, cool, let's do it. But, over the past few days I've been doing my own research and just getting more and more amped. Personally, its been a while since I've had a game to be addicted to and I am hoping this is it.

I plan on purchasing the founder's package asap, just conflicted between the top tier or the middle one. I discovered the minimum specs and my desktop meets them, but supposedly this is BARE BONES minimum so I have a new cpu, gpu, motherboard and ram on the way. (See, this is how excited I am, 500$ on parts already...)

Anyway, in terms of questions and decisions. I am not as concerned about those details and leave them to you all for now, at least with what's been mentioned so far. In terms of resources and supporting the clan to be revived, I already messaged Asaru and told him for you guys to let me know if you guys need anything. I have servers, resources and knowledge I can bring to the table in terms of setting up forums and other tools for communication and whatnot to support this if we're going to take it seriously. If the game checks out and lives up to the hype, I plan to pretty dedicated to it unlike my current XBL status.

Looking forward to hanging out with you all again!

I've been talking it up to all the old clanmates that I can. Chatted up Radioactive Cam a couple of days ago and turned him on as well. He says his system will support and he's taking a look.

I bought Legendary last night. Don't regret it a bit. Can't wait to earn my extra 50%.

I'm so excited. I spent an obscene amount on the new system. It will be here in a couple-three weeks. Accourding to all, I should be able to run max settings on the 50 inch! I so can't wait..... I've watched the beta leaked videos five dozen times. Drives the wife nuts.

Mikey! Great to hear from you. I think you are the perfect person to help us figure out how we can do voice chat. I really would rather set up something on the PC versus having the xbox running in the background. To much stuff turned on and I will just start blowing fuses, and I don't want to have to keep jiggling the dang xbox controller to keep the chat on. And we absolutely need to have voice. I think that communication and coordination will be the key difference between winning and losing.

It only costs $20 to buy a wireless reciever to connect a wireless xbox controller and mic to the PC, so we should all be able to have comms without any real trouble. I'm already leaning towards the xbox controller myself just because it's got everything I need... provided you can program the buttons.

I really hope MWO supports simple mods and solutions like that. Otherwise, it'll be keyboard and mouse for a while. The new PC tapped me out for a while...

I was talking about this with my roommate I was telling you about on XBL yesterday. He uses Ventrillo when he plays WoW and Diablo with groups of people. However, the problem is that it only supports 8 people to an unlicensed server. And you've told me we'll be running at max 12 person teams on MWO. I'm going to spend a little more time on Ventrillo to investigate it as a possibility further. Otherwise, I know there's teamspeak and other options. Anything that requires a "server host" to work, I can use one of my cloud boxes that are in legit data centers to ensure reliability and speed.

I can't wait to payday next week so I can grab that Legendary Founder's pack. A lot of graduations and birthdays this season hit my wallet pretty hard.

I've been watching the gameplay videos you told me about over and over. I just can't get enough of it. I can't freakin' wait to play this! I really, really want beta access. I have new parts on the way for my PC.

Something we talked about that I'm very curious about is the different control possibilities. I too would want to try out using the xbox controller to start with it and if it warrants it, eventually move to a more advanced flight simulator-like setup. Trying to find more feedback on this...

I think this could be our solution for chatting through our computers: http://www.leetvoiceservers.com/

It does require paying, but for 35 member capacity, we're only talking 10$ a month. 35 may be too many, but that was just a high end guess. For 15, the minimum we'd need to play for 12v12, it would be 5$ a month. That seems very, very reasonable. Check it out, I suggest we'd pick ventrillo as opposed to teamspeak.

We'll have to see how many bite. Don't know how we will manage the money if we are trying to collect from people to pay a bill. That might not be worth the hastle.

I was out all weekend. Ended up in the hospital. Nasty business. I think the Legendary Founder's Pack curse caught me bad. Ended up with a tube up my nose and into my stomach... let me assure you, it is the worst thing ever!

Makes me even happier that I bought the new PC and the Founder's Pack. You never know when you might go, and if my time comes and I didn't get to play because I didn't take the chance on the game, that would truely suck.

OUCH! I hope all will be well. Take care of yourself first and foremost!

And don't worry about the money, we have solutions ready to go to take care of communication outside of XBL, so let's cross that off our list.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do or help with!

I'm fine. Wanted to go back to work today actually... the wife was not amused. So, I'm taking the day off.

I'll never make it to August 7th..... the beta leak videos are not a big enough fix. I should have asked the hospital to freeze me for three weeks so I don't have to wait so long.

Here's one for you Mike.... we should come up with a clan signature for the group.

So, I went and did it and grabbed the Elite Founder. I picked the Hunchback. I figure if I fall and trip over an extra 60$ in the next few weeks, I can always upgrade to get the rest of the perks. I just felt I needed to get my in now so I picked the middle ground.

You mean an image for all of us to use as a signature? I'm not the most graphical, but I know some people and will give it a shot. Any imagery suggestions or anything that should go in it?!

Hmmm, I would say that, for now, we can go with C4 as the group name. Not sure if it should have a catchy phrase or not... but each member should have their name emblazoned on it. Perhaps with a mech of their choice on it?

For example, for you it could be the hunchback, since that's your mech, and it could have C4 on one side and LostProphet on the other side.

I know what I want mine to be. Same as I described yours, but with a Catapult. And for a catchy phrase, I think for now I'll take, "I'm not happy until your not happy."

I got ya! I play around with some ideas for at least me and you until we see more presence here of our people and some feedback from them in terms of mechs and possible catch phrases.

At 1000 keys per day, we should be nearly 50% likely to get a key within the week!

Well, my new computer has shipped. I should have it in a few days. Maybe I'll get a beta key to go along with it!

*fingers crossed*
